They brought back the buzzing noises that Dex hears whenever he kills people from S3, that's a nice detail
wasnt that the last episode the director made before getting a new writing crew or something? ive enjoyed the last 3 episodes, but i have to agree ep 5 felt so fucking out of place and not even in a weird quirky way like some series do

It's the only episode from the original version of Born Again that was left completely untouched, and that's pretty obvious with how happy and quippy Matt is compared to how he is in all the other episodes.

My only complaint is the random "vigilante activity is down 30%" without even hearing or knowing about any other vigilantes. It doesn't have to be name drops but it would be nice to see random people getting arrested or beaten, but maybe we would have gotten something like that if the development wasn't so fucked up
i think they jsut threw that in there to say "there is potentially other vigilantes in this contained universe"
the random swordman stuff is more confusing to me than anything

I'm curious about this. The plot rumors for S2 say it's about Matt assembling the heroes of NY to unite against Kingpin but it doesn't seem like any of the Defenders have been cast. Spider-Man isn't likely to appear. The only possible returning heroes would be Punisher, White Tigress, and Swordsman. If anything the showrunner's comment seem to imply we're getting a loose adaptation of Shadowlands/Bendis' run.
i dont know that much about marvel comics but theyve cast matt lillard as someone and people thing its gonna be a cape character, i dunno though, i have more hope for s2 than i did s1 and i hope it pays off

Episode 5 was great once you get over them jerking off Khan. They actually let Matt do what he does without any baggage or morose drama. Let the hero be a damn hero for once.

I liked the episode a lot. I'm a Bullseye mark so I was really happy to see him again.
I really thought he was going to shoot Heather on accident thinking she was Vanessa
She looks nothing like Vanessa and that would kind of defeat the purpose of his whole skill being super accuracy
When he first looked down the scope they both had their backs to him. Heather was dancing with Fisk and Vanessa with Matt.

This is probably a controversial statement, but I don't care about Fisk nor the New York criminal underworld. It was fun and interesting in season 1 and 3, but you can only retread it so much and here it's really wearing out its welcome.
Season 3 seemed to be setting up Lady Deathstrike's father as a villain and whatever shadowy organization he works for with the Bullseye getting whatsitsname of Adamantium's substitute, so since Disney has rights to X-Men should've just went with that instead of retreading "Fisk tard-wrangles lesser mobsters and Vanessa being a bitch" song and dance we've been doing since DD s1.
