Did black kids even watch kids shows?
You should question why they even feel the need to break characters down like that. Why assume a kid of any race would like this fag over any established X-man?
No, we didn't consoom media at all. We just existed in a vacuum.
He was basically Marrow, no one likes Marrow.
Yes we did watch.
But no black kid wants some donut steel OC.
We wanted Bishop or Synch.
And everyone knows Storm doesn’t have a sister, so how can this OC be her nephew.
Basically black folks realized the creators were cowards to not make Storm one of the focused teen students so they made her nephew OC.
They were too chicken to make Marrow too. Black folks can recognize cowardice.
the creators were cowards to not make Storm one of the focused teen students so they made her nephew OC.
Maybe they just wanted to pair her up with Wolverine.
they were watching DBZ and Naruto
Worked for Miles tho
No it didn't.
Lol
Yeah, the DC cartoons.
because the world nowadays is retard and in a race war,in the early 2000's it was a whole other story
My boy Spyke just needs his own comic, game, and multiversal movie trilogy bros...any day now....
They didn’t do that though
Did black kids even watch kids shows?
Black kids watched whatever whitey kids watched, "diver city" comes from white people trying harder to be woke.
TAS had her being the godmother of an African kid (Shadow King episodes). Comic also made her return to Cairo to help some kid from her former thief clan. There is some background story to give Storm a kid, this one was just too forced.
They just wanted a black kid being part of the cast, which they didnt have at hand aside from Roberto who's Brazilian.
Dont think you get into MvC2 with nobody liking you anon
This, playing MvC2 and watching Xmen Evo and thought they genderbent Marrow or gave her a brother and made her black, was always sort of confused and expected Marrow to show up eventually and explain his presence. I actually liked the fact they gave him the spiked armor it made him look cool and actually set him apart he should have had that form from the beginning and he probably would have come across better. His haircut and VA certainly didnt help matters too he looks and sounds like he grew up in laguna beach instead of inglewood, which isnt a problem of itself but if your trying to connect with Black culture then you need to understand what resonates.
Huh didn't realize people didn't like him. he was just part of the cast to me was fine and had some good moments but he was obviously the fish out of water insert for the kids as he was one of the youngest and a rookie
Despite numerous attempts Miles Morales is the only Black replacement character that have worked so far. Maybe cause it was in the alternate universe Im not sure
Black replacement character
race-swapped character is the proper term, but you get what I mean. White original character reimagined as a non-white
It's more than Storm usually ever gets in any X-media, which is jack-shit.
It was weird they didn't just use a teen Storm.
Storm's supposed to be the mother hen among the X-Men. Can't do that if she's one of the chicks.
Miles Morales HAS NOT worked so far, someone at marvel is just dead set on not letting him go.
Just make her a snooty student leader president type.
Miles HAS worked. You’re wrong as usual.
And imply that she has any ambitions of her own beyond "the dream of my X-Men"? Never!
Miles Morrales is his own character and everybody loves him.
Miles is not Peter Parker.
Why do you lie?
When? When his comics sold less? When he needed someone else to piggy back a movie off of? When he needed more editorial push than every other legacy character combined? That ain't work.
I paraphrased someone else's statement. So the feeling is there.
Sounds like you know shit about miles.
Casual guy as usual.
His power was kind of lame and turning him into an armadillo was retarded
Maybe if he had some sort of electric powers and the black part of his costume was a dark purple...
Capcom didnt really care about character popularity, they mainly used what looked cool or seemed popular
Capcom didn't care about popularity
they mainly used what seemed popular
Like half of mvc2 are nobodies
i don't know if black kids liked him or not
but i think most people didn't like him cause he was the whiny cunt character
all i remember about him was him crying about not being included or allowed to do adult shit
marrow was just new
she was more popular than maggot or celia reyes, but that's not a tall bar to hop over
It's easy to forget but this show did come out when people still have been familiar enough with the comics to realize this high school crap was forced as hell and who was and wasn't an actual character in the book.
Only nerds read the comics, bro. Most kids watching didn't give a rat's ass
It's also easy to forget that kids used to like comics and weren't illiterate little shit stains.
