Gunnerkrigg Court

These witches know their stuff!
And they sometimes come to the court and/or interact with Jack, so maybe Jenny got her wish after all...

Jack looks so dejected over there in his fuckboy chair. They're even talking about him in the third person like he's not there. He looks like a man who's patiently awaiting a bunch of weird girls having their way with him to please his gf. Again.

meanwhile annie helped a group of kids win a game of basketball as their manager and learned the value of teamwork and made the game winning three point shot with under a second left after the star player twisted their ankle

It gives me the depressed Shinji chair scene vibes

She's right coach. There's nothing in the rules that says a barghest can't play basketball!

He's not dejected over what they're doing. It's whatever Omega said. Which I have to imagine is something like "the Court forced Zimmy to create this fake-world by injecting Gamma with poison, and if the fake-world ends Gamma dies (and then Zimmy kills herself)"
No I'm not saying THAT'S what was said, I'm just saying it's something comparably despair-inducing.

To be fair, he just learned that the girl he actually loves, who is the reason for all this witch business in the first place did something absolutely horrendous. His whole life is a lie or something.
I wish we knew what she did.
What in the world could make even ultimate nice girl Kat want to kill her?

My own theory is still that she released the white legs, but would Jack even be THAT concerned about that?

This would be great if these witches were set up earlier in the comic and they had any sort of real reason to hate Annie.

I don't think he'd care if she harmed him, it seemed more like something that could get her in deep shit with the Court, since he was so worried about the adults finding out

Meh, setting up Jenny and then saying "Jenny has a posse" works for me.

This whole Jenny plot still feels out of nowhere, though. Like I dunno dude have Annie accidentally set fire to her mcr albums or something.

If Annie is going to have to hurt Zimmy, Jack and Jenny are going to rush to Zimmy's defense. Seems like a straightforward enough resolution of Jack's storyline.

Meh. Those characters are overcompetent for their age, it really disminish everything the mc did in the past 20 years of story.

There are a million less contrived ways to make that happen than having them randomly decide that Annie wants to kill Zimmy

eh, when the random dude that Paz started off liking had an illicit affair with a moon goddess I think it was settled that Annie & co weren't the only ones getting into supernatural adventures.
Also the competence of the witches is slightly diminished when they're also paranoid weirdos that are wrong about everything

Go back and reread the comic and you'll be shocked by how proactive and competent Annie used to be.

more competent than mc

You mean the autistic girl whose biggest challenge throughout the comic has been talking to people and who has never had to really improve herself, being groomed and protected by a god in order to use her for his own plans and cheating off of her friend for school?
The girl who's so chaotic and unpredictable that perfect precognition ends with her?
The girl who is one of the most important people in the universe in a similar way to Evelyn from Everything, Everywhere, All at Once?
The girl who was deathly jealous of her own clone?
The mc who is the mc solely because her first action as an unsupervised child led directly to her own would-be death?

Yeah, very weird that other characters are more capable than her. Hard to believe, really. Suspension of disbelief broken.

Bruh, when has Annie done anything right, ever, except for by pure accident?

They way they talk this magibabble sounds very familiar. My theory that Anja is Jenny's mentor gains yet more evidence.

And now that we have the set up, the punchline is going to be that Anja will be the one to slap her pupils upside the head.

It's funny when Jenny hates Annie for no reason. When you lot do it, you're just being a bunch of annoying cunts.

the slam-pig seems smart

I'm not hating Annie at all, I'm just stating facts.
Just because someone is utterly incompetent doesn't mean they are hated.
Have patience, anon, Annie has autism.

what about when Tom does it?

god Anja is cute

That's him needing therapy.

Annie is not incompetent. Our girl get things done.

Annie being a passive punching bag post-merge is gaslighting people into thinking that the memes are real.

Thise witches solved the current situation at school level, while the court adults are completely clueless about it.
This is mary sue 101

Yeah I don't know these assholes and the whole "Carver must be evil" thing is super thin.

That's not what a Mary Sue is
Not every shitty writing decision is a "mary sue"

awaiting a bunch of weird girls having their way with him to please his gf

God bless this glorious cuckquean

Took thel jalf a page to solve something no adult nor totle character could do in literally 20 years. Their designs clash. And the story acts kike they are the coolest shit ever. Its a bunch of sues.

is this a series of terrible typos or some bizarre dialect I'm unfamiliar with?

We already know Annie likes to talk about fucking someone up with a smile on her face. She's just waiting for an excuse to put someone in a body cast or bag.

Inb4 Annie's laser just bounces off of Noa's huge, muscular, WARDED chest.

Calm down anon, your post is borderline unreadable from all the typos

Jack looks so dejected over there in his fuckboy chair.

He just learned he's not real, cut him some slack.

It's the schizo dialect

they're right tho annie is dumb haha

I'm pretty sure it's just ordinary scottish.
Yeah

What do you think Zimmy did?

mary sue

This term and its derivatives need to just become instaban triggers.

If it were me, something deeply existential and dooming to at least a sizeable subset of humanity (or something /extremely/ damning to one specific person, e.g. sacrificed gamma's soul or something)

but it's tom, so it's going to be like she stole hostess pies or something

I'm pretty sure it's just ordinary scottish.

aye, fuck you too

The theory that she's Annie is true and Jack is disgusted that he felt that way about an Annie.
