Honestly it's not even the networks, I seriously doubt any western showrunner has the balls to do half the shit that happens in it.

The sexual tension with the cast of characters and the fanservice is either wattpad-tier and adult sitcom-tier in western cartoons and that's not even talking about the homosexual alien hitting on a sexually confused 14 year old, or the depiction of depression that isn't le deep & mysterious but instead rotting away as time passes.
