Viv could've had a more interesting story if she portrayed her demons in Helluva Boss existing under an oppressive culture that rewards cruelty and cynicism while discouraging sincere affection and love resulting in many hellborn quickly melting in response to genuine empathy like viltrumites. It would have even fit her liberal ideals of fighting against oppressive power structures. I find it notable and odd then that her characters not only rub elbows with those in power so often but that said authority figures are portrayed so sympathetically and benevolently. We still see shades of her wanting to portray Blitzo as a "working class hero" but the narrative she set up is (unsurprisingly) schizophrenic and directionless.
