35 year old man with 2 grandkids

not buying it, asshole

You DO realize the reason bait threads get so successful is because you dolts reply to them so quickly, right?
Big part of the problem.

What makes Rugrats cringey to you?

It is legitimately possible to have grandchildren at age 35. Three teenage pregnancies involved, trashy, but I know people dumb enough to be part of the fuckup lineage.

nipple

those DUMB. BABIES!!!

I actually knew someone like that.

Had his daughter at 15

She had her kids at 18 and 20 respectively.

Honestly I think it's a blessing in disguise having kids that young. It's not like a lot of us old fuckers that waited are any less broke, and you have all that energy to deal with kids in your 20's. Imagine your kid being out of the house (or at least out of high school) well before you're 40. I fuckin wish.

Rugrats II was weird...

but I know people dumb enough to be part of the fuckup lineage.

Wanna reveal them?

Hhhot.

I'm embarrassed that I still watch this show as a 35 year old man with 2 grandkids.

I would be more embarrassed that I was only 35 and had grandkids. Like, goddamn, what kind of trailer trash are you? There is at least ONE underage teen pregnancy involved.

then...stop watching it?

bump

be 38

still want kids

but also realize that if I have them now I'll be 60 when they are 20

It's not.

It's not like a lot of us old fuckers that waited are any less broke,

LOL that's the point of having kids when you're an adult. Sounds like you made bad financial decisions.

and you have all that energy to deal with kids in your 20's.

Kids suck up energy no matter what. Energy and stress wise, it doesn't make a difference whether you do it in your teens, twenties or thirties.

Do your grandkids enjoy it?

TOOT TOOT
AHHHHHH
BEEP BEEP

Don’t leg that stop you. There are men out there having kids in their 70’s

Is it just me or is it really weird a character design like that made it in a multi million dollar family animated picture?

I got a scholarship and graduated directly into the death of an industry for citizen labor, but I'm speaking more generally than personally anyway, statistically we're doing worse than our parents and grandparents, not just from personal finance.

It doesn't make a difference whether you do it in your teens, twenties or thirties.

This just isn't true, you can ask anyone that had kids years/a decade apart.

that's the point of having kids when you're an adult. Sounds like you made bad financial decisions.

This is why so many people are poor. They had kids way too early. Once you have those kids, the dough you'll have is gonna be capped to a certain amount for years. It'll never grow because you have children to raise. Better for a man to have those kids in his 30s when he's established. It'll make raising those kids much less of a struggle.

People gotta experiment if they want their IPs to stick out

No matter what age you are, you gotta try. The population’s shrinking bad.

Learn about teen pregnancy legacies and do the math, Charles.

Most adults have full time jobs, a house or apartment, their own transportation and all the other things that make a good foundation for parenthood. Teenagers have none of those, many are kicked out or forced to move when they have children.

THIS. I thought this was all common knowledge. There is a reason why teenage parents are looked down upon.

I don't know why Anon Babble is trying to make young parents the new ideal. Yeah, this was a thing before the 20th century, but human society was radically different before then. By your late teens, you already had a job or trade and you were finished with school for several years.

That must be one stinky diapey!

The average age at which people start having kids has only increased while the average wealth of parent-aged people has decreased. It was typical to have your first kid when you graduated college (or if you didn't go to college, within 5 years of graduating high school). Now people start having their first kids at 29, a full decade after being a teenager, but family wealth is still downtrending.

It was typical to have your first kid when you graduated college (or if you didn't go to college, within 5 years of graduating high school).

And that's not the same thing as being a teen parent. People in those scenarios have their adult lives mostly or fully together.

By your late teens, you already had a job or trade and you were finished with school for several years

Why did we change that?

The world changed in a way that's not the better.

Have a bad job.

Live with my dad and brother and his family.

To avoid feeling like a neet I cook on my days off, every day I clean the house, do the dishes, pick up after my nephews.

Pay my dad a meager stipend. Not a lot but more than what my brother pays.

Dropped out of college in my last year.

Girlfriend just up and ghosted me around January, has someone different now.

It's hard to find a job already, even harder with everything else compounded onto it. Gonna go join the army. Maybe that will help.

It's not the Jews.

How old are you? Also join the Air Force if you can.

It became illegal to do aptitude screening for jobs because the Supreme Court determined that's racist against black people who scored worse on average at aptitude/IQ tests, so jobs had to use a college degree as a legally-viable means of filtering applicants. But then colleges saw the money they were making being gatekeepers to employment and started milking it, which caused the degrees to become worthless too.
Trade jobs got largely outsourced as a result of 70's-80's economic policy to shore up boomer pension funds at the cost of pulling the rug out on job opportunities for Gen X and under.

Because the past was flawed. The present is too, but less so.

Say what you will about public education, but I would rather live in a world where most people are literate and can do basic math. Back in the "good old days" more people were illiterate than not.

comparing the kino that is Captain Pronin to Rugrats

there were only 2k million people when my dad was born, around double that when I was born, we're currently around 8k and we're going to hit 10k million people before growth stops. You're fucking crazy.

No matter what age you are, you gotta try. The population’s shrinking bad.

Uh, no. Just because other people aren't having kids doesn't make it another person's obligation. One of the major reasons society sucks is because there are too many people in general.

show nose

It's not a race thing, dude. If you're so concerned, go have ten kids right now.

As opposed to being 60 with no kids at all?
