Because whenever i go to con's now people are really anti-social and even the panels that were designed to make people meet friends turned into the host listening to his own voice half the time. And online places like tumblr arent accommodating towards interaction between accounts and for making friends and the userbase is beyond cancer. Anon Babble isnt really good for it either because we are all green anonymous frogs here. And reddit is just...reddit. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

This isn't to say that animation isn't an art form of its own merit but that the reason the majority of kids shows use animation is the same reason kids like tiktok slop.

The short answer is because things have become too expensive to produce (line must go up), and creators/companies are terrified of offending anyone. The shock culture of the 90's and 2000's was completely dead by the mid 2010's. You know, edgy shit that offended the sensibilities of the old no-fun people of the time. What's fascinating, however, is it wasn't old curmudgeons that killed shock culture in the mid 2010's, it was young people. It was people in their 20's and early 30's becoming completely devoid of any kind of cheeky fun. Their reasons were different to those that practised this behaviour in the 80's, but the end result was the same. Restrictions on media outside of the rule of the law.
I think that in 10-15 years creators will be completely sick of this modern "no fun allowed" type of thinking, and they'll stop caring. By then the only people who will still care will be old and lame. Or dead.
