Why hasn't anyone made sequels to Stardust now that it entered the public domain
Stardust the Super Wizard
I hope they never do. People would try to make a horror movie/video game/comic
Alan Moore made fun of it in one of the later LoeGs.
He needs to properly write him, a Stardust book. I don't care about what anyone says, the man is great when with adapts stuff. I love his Miracleman run
I asked ChatGPT to make a panel and this is what it gave me.
Well at least his pose and face are kinda accurate
I believe there's gonna be a Stardust the Super Wizard comic by Cosmic Lion.

That ventriloquism, or did he make the villain say that?
According to the chatbot:
In this Golden Age comic panel, Stardust the Super Wizard is confronting a villain in space. Hovering above Earth in his glowing golden suit, Stardust announces his identity and mission: to thwart the villain’s evil plans. The terrified antagonist, located inside a spacecraft, begs for mercy. This dramatic confrontation reflects the classic moral absolutism of the era—where cosmic justice is swift, heroes are omnipotent, and villains are often punished without trial. The exaggerated dialogue and stylized poses emulate the bizarre, surreal flair typical of Stardust's original stories by Fletcher Hanks.
Unsure if the creators genuinely can't draw or are deliberately imitating Hanks.
6 fingers. The extra one can project an Eternity-of-Agony Beam.
One will come out in June.
Good thing that people don't read comics here, because it's shit and missed the point. They used some mentally well-adjusted Underground artist when they should've hired Chris-Chan instead.
Because no mortal comic book artist or writer can handle the power of Stardust

i gave it a try
make a comic of stardust the super wizard, he is defeating a bad guy in an utterly bizarre way that no normal person would think of and is actually quite disturbing
utterly bizarre way that no normal person would think of and is actually quite disturbing
well an outside nervous system fits that bill
Kill yourselves
Maybe a tongue-in-cheek parody of the original comics that portrays Stardust tormenting villains in overly surreal and brutal ways?
Basically the original Mask comics.
Capeworld comics made a comic but it's unifinished, it was insanely cool like that one Marie Curie superhero comic plus LOEG, lots of public domain heroes and Vril-Ya it was awesome.
Actually accurate
dark comedy, if anyone does anything with stardust is should be a dark comedy
Bump
it takes a digital chimera of all accumulated human knowledge to match the sheer coke fueled insanity of Fletcher Hanks' brain
Good Morning, Sirs
Why bother? It's obscure for a reason. It sucks. It's only interesting because of how fucked up the author was and how uncanny and bizarre his art and writing were. No one could pick up that mantle sincerely. It would have to be some parody or deconstruction
It almost match the original.
Honestly even. An outside nervous system is a scary fucking concept that feels like it would be in-line with a horror movie fate.
The beauty of Stardust's cruelty was that it was always so fucking bizarre and elaborate and usually was based on some kind of irony
Like, the infamous growing head and head-eater punishment was because the United States president (who that villain tried to assassinate) is the "head" of the country
He's a big guy.
Literally nothing wrong with that if they do it well.
All the sequels these days would just be bad end TF porn
Someone who isnt a borderline schizo/mental patient should not work on a stardust book
It doesnt suck its good BECAUSE it was made by some abusive drunkard who used the comic to essentially abuse groups he hated in fucked up bizarre fantasies.
Dies alone, frozen on a park bench with only cheap booze to ease the transition from life to death
There is a webcomic.
Yeah, Moore was the GOAT, but he's done with comics.
Has anything in public domain ever led to anything worthwhile?
dracula has been used in cool ways
Dracula in name only is kind of stretching it isn't it? Taking a mythological creature and using the brand name version to try to get more eyes on your work.
Any Stardust work should be 100% sincere in portraying Stardust as the superwizard who deals old testament style punishments to his enemies and showing this as the right thing to do morally. You can expand the scope or the world or portray the villains and side characters in more detail or whatever. But it shouldn't be tongue in cheek, ironic, or tweest nonsense.
I won't say he deserved it but apparently he really was a bastard to his wife & kids
He was an addict. Addicts are victims.
They're also assailants.
The most terrifying thing about Stardust is the he acts following an absolute moral structure that's completely alien to us. You do whether he deems it is that warrants being made to live in frozen ice hell forever and he'll put you there. Why wouldn't he? That's what frozen ice hell is for.
He entertained me with his comics, so I am willing to overlook the horrible things he has done. Truth be told, I don't really care, and I do not feel like expending the energy to pretend to do so.
I don't know if Cody wants to do that again.
