I mean kinda, but I usually just lump the early 2010s in with the 2000s. Like in my ideal 2000s paradise Neon Cat would also be their despite becoming a thing in 2011.

Not really. The 2020s barely even feel distinct from the mid-2010s on in any real way. The early 2010s felt like things might have been starting to go in some fun new direction after the recession absolutely FUCKED everything starting in late 2007, but by late 2013 that was already starting to slip away and by 2014 it was just fucking dead, and basically the start of the same period of malaise we've been in since. I only have a little bit of nostalgia for those first few years, the rest of the decade blew fucking chunks. And even then those early years still didn't really compare to the pre-recession 00s or especially the 90s.

I'm really just waiting for this fucking cultural period to fucking die already.
