Should have been a Sentry solo movie, maybe with the Thunderbolts as supporting characters. He was by far the best and most interesting character.

Sentry can't carry a movie by himself. If he were to get a solo project a show would be better.

He's got Lindy but since they did Moon Knight so recently I can see general audiences thinking he's just a rip off. Playing with reality, memory, what's real and not. Even then most of your heroes are gone now. Could be interesting seeing reshoots of movies with Sentry added but that'd be a better six episode mini series.

Rememer the A24/indie trailer Thunderbolts got? A solo project would look most bizarre to normies. They did the right thing introducing him in Thundebolts with existing characters. His rogues gallery outside of the Void includes a Francophobic general, a Brainiac expy with a helmet with 3 brains swimming in it, a cannibal cyborg hot dog vendor, a ripped to the gills leprechaun, and a super hippie.

They made some panic reshoots close to the premiere which added Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, sent to be a miniboss for Sam. Pretty much padding since Red Hulk only shows up for the last 10 minutes.

I've seen people talk about Doom using Bod as a replacement for Molecule Man in Secret Wars so i don't think they'd kill him. Hopefully they won't kill anyone. Adding Sam suing must mean they understand he's not popular.

Alexei would be the big emotional death. He's the team dad and was the biggest proponent for them being a team. Also I don't think it was an accident that they made Walker right about everything, it was the new writer.

it almost certainly won't happen, but it'd be pretty fucking funny if Sam's team are the ones to job, so the massively underpowered in comparison New Avengers are forced to prove they're worthy of the name.
I feel like Bucky and Alexei are the likeliest deaths, Alexei due to being able to give Yelena the most angst. Bucky would cause the biggest reactions in our world and his actor seems checked out anyway. Walker could die to have less super-soldier guys running about, but it's more 50/50.
Ghost is killable, but she wouldn't cause much of an audience reaction and has a unique powerset.
And of course the possibility of a reboot, so....
It would be funny if the whole team is treated as a joke for most of the movie until Bob Sentrys the fuck up. He still ultimately jobs to Doom because he needs to look strong for Secret Wars, but it would still have a fun "oh shit" moment of Doom getting Loki'd for a while.

What a shitty superhero team
Finally got to watch it. Not as good as everyone was hyping it up to be but certainly not as bad as I initially thought it would be.
I don't totally buy them not just leaving each other for dead after the bunker honestly, maybe needed a reason for them to stick together.
Wish Alexei and Bucky could have been more involved, with how they are currently they kinda just are there. Thought Alexei would die as their Coulson and Bucky would be their Fury, using Avengers 1 as analogies.
Void's design is amazing. Sentry in general is great. Unfortunate he didn't actually kill all those people but on screen child death is a little too much still.
And the soundtrack is pretty good. With Fantastic Four and this, maybe Marvel has finally figured out people want recognizable themes for their superheroes.
