Aaron was standing in front of miles. And had his back to kingpin.
Damn I wasn't aware Kingpin was struck with the a disease that cuts off all his motor functions at that moment and couldn't take three steps forward in the alley to see Miles
He was the easier and more reasonable shot.theres also always the chance miles would just dodge cuz spider sense.
This just makes it more logical to shoot Miles first
Miles isn't strong enough to beat prowler, removes his mask, Aaron let's him go and is immediately shot for it.
Kingpin shooting Aaron at all makes no sense, let alone shooting him before Miles
You're gonna have to explain what you mean by "consequences" then because I think you have a very specific idea of what constitutes a "consequence".
Permanent changes in the life/status quo, fucking MCU Peter has consequences as a result of his flaws, he prioritizes Vulture, this means he fumbles Laura, he prioritizes his vacation, that means Mysterio gets EDITH and ultimately reveals Peter's identity to the world which makes life impossible, he tries to redeem the villains, this gets May killed, he tries to get the world to forget him, he also gets forgotten by his loved ones, all flaws, all permanent negative consequences on Peter's life and the lives of those around him
In contrast the only negative change in Miles' life is Aaron dying, which he brought upon himself by working for Kingpin who seemingly kills his loyal goons for making one mistake
means spending more time in a universe where being in it is actively killing them and Kingpin is threatening to unravel the multiverse.
Which is just empty tension that doesn't result in anything
A character can confidentially be wrong in a film.
Not when the directors confirm he's right
He immediately goes to the wrong universe and gets captured after he says that.
Which will ultimately be the thing that helps him do both things, just like Vanellope's "glitch" and the Emoji guy's "malfunction"
