How do you lose the fucking plot that badly???

I'm not even surprised this L&S remake changed story beats/removed characters/split characters into two characters and it all ended up worse then the original. Truly dogshit.

What happens to him?

... Please tell me you made all these up.

Nani gives up custody of Lilo

Ohana means family scene is a comedy bit now

Say sike RIGHT NOW.

Can we just pass some kind of legislation preventing shitty cash-in remakes of good movies? Like, if it ends up being bad, you lose the IP rights.

Why a Leroy cameo? He's not even the most iconic experiment there's 625 other experiments they could've shown before fucking Leroy, 625/Ruben was right there

1000092061.png - 382x356, 267.39K

Me reading this list as it get worse the further I go

skinenr.gif - 640x360, 3.41M

Hawaii did have problems with colonialism?
They became a state before they cease to be a monarchy

Its a problem these disney remakes do where they think they "fix" problems with the original. In the OG movie his turn was objectively rushed, he just turns on a dime and its even pointed out as a joke. It doesnt really make sense and it just happened because they loved the character too much to make him a villain. And Gantu turning the finale into wacky spaceship shenanigans was always the worst part of the movie. But the fix is not to change these things drastically, its working with what you have. You can still redeem Jumba and have Gantu at the end, just have their arcs spread out throughout the movie so the finale makes more sense. Instead they just removed a character and made another one worse.

Leroy cameo

I CLAPPED I CLAPPED WHEN I SAW THE THING I RECOGNIZE
I MUST CONSOOM I MUST CONSOOM

No Gantu no watch

I didn't mind his turn. It just felt to me more like a scientist that barely interacted with the real world seeing his creation growing beyond its original scope and wanting to see where that lead.

I predict a pretty steep second week drop off there's something in here to piss off everybody

Tumblr thinking there being no commentary that makes fun of tourists is the most offensive thing about the remake even though the original movie also had those scenes deleted is both expected and sad.

I can't imagine thinking Lilo and Stitch, a movie about found family made up of various earth and alien races, should focus on colonialism and the downside of tourism. Kind of a middle finger to the themes of the movie

If I'm a soulless brand manager, I recognize that "evil red duplicate of the hero" is usually a winning financial move.

As far as the original cartoon version of Stitch, it was successful, but it COULD have been Pokemon level successful.

The original only having, like, two anti-tourist scenes makes it more obvious when both of those scenes are missing.

They clear;y confused him with 627.

It didn't need to become a state.
Hawaii was fine being its own thing but greedy white america couldn't handle that and had to take it from the natives.

For the Jamba point while you have a point there is something to remember: Jamba was completely fine with stitch existing. Stitch IS HIS creation, he intended him to exist, he doesn't have any hate for him. So him just saying sure is a somewhat in character, especially if you remember that he's a mad criminal scientist. He's very laxed about things. For the remake they could've added scenes of him becoming more relaxed living on earth, and think to himself "man being an evil mad scientist isnt that great. Being a chill mad scientist is where it's at." And so he help stitch because he realizes that's a good thing to do.

Also about the Nani college plotline:
JAMBA AND PLEAKLEY JOINED THE FAMILY, THEY COULDVE HELPED RAISE LILO WHILE NANI HANDLED HER COLLEGE WORK! THAT WOULDVE BEEN AN AMAZONG CHANGE EMPHASIZING THAT FAMILY HELPS ONE ANOTHER! NANI GETS HELP AFTER SHE HELPED EVERYONE! WTF!

Does the first one actually happen? The fuck?

But then people will complain about two male parents adopting a child, anon.

Funny how immigration stops being good as soon as it hurts non-white people

I haven't seen but holy shit, really?

Nani gives up custody so she can go to college

Isn't the whole point of the story that they need to stay together?

Fart Jokes

Not exactly out of character or anything but sounds like it's way too much here.

Gantu removed and Jumba remains evil

Gantu exists for a very clear reason, the movie needed a "villain" with the "villainy" rooted in ignorance of most of the events that had transpired because Stitch never actually committed any real crimes and the only reason to apprehend him was that he was engineered to be evil, Gantu is only an antagonist because he operated under the assumption that Stitch was still just the chaotic abomination he first saw in the courtroom. Jumba couldn't remain the villain in the original movie because he was only "evil" in a really petty way, as demonstrated by his explanation for what Stitch was programmed to when reaching a city, which really just amounted to annoying pranks.

No ugly duckling story

As in the message got fumbled or the literal story book not being in the movie? If it's the latter then I don't see that as much of a problem but if it's the former, how do you even fuck that up?

No alien form shown to Lilo

I know Disney just kinda pretend his "dog" disguise is his actual appearance in most marketing but that is a bit weird.

Pleakley doesn't crossdress

I knew about that and I don't get it, did the actor refuse to? Are they afraid it's controversial somehow? I don't get it.

Leroy

Why the hell are they acknowledging the spin-offs? It wouldn't bother me so much except that some of these other remakes makes the spin-off material impossible to adapt (the ending of the Jungle Book remake makes the sequel impossible to adapt as an example).

The scene establishing the message is treated like joke

Wow, really?

Tiktok

Gross

Shut up, shut the fuck up with that.
They would be her uncles who help take care of the house. Nani would be busy with work or in a class and the two would pick her up from or watch or cook her dinner while she's busy. They all live together and help each other with what they need. They are family

Disney is trying to push colonization propaganda with Lilo's parents

Lol. Woketards might actually be right about this.

The crossdressing thing is mostly about Pleakley not putting on a Roger-level disguise of a wig and a dress, and the creators instead opting to do a scifi holo-disguise that just puts actual people in place of the aliens for the movie. They took th e boring route is the complaints...

I can understand wanting to cheap out with humans over CGI, but money didn't prevent putting the actor in ugly drag because he has an alien understanding of human clothing.

Don’t forget you can have a lifetime of Hawaiian Rollercoaster rides by joining the Disney Vacation Club timeshare program! Buy a contract at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, HawaiĘ»i before July 14th and save up to $30 per vacation point! That’s over $14,000 on a 500 point contract! Enough points to book a Ocean View One Bedroom Villa large enough for your entire Ohana for an entire week!

his turn was objectively rushed

I don't think it was rushed, I think I played into the theme of the movie stitch asked his old family to help him save his new family even if it meant he was gonna be destroyed afterwards.

>Pleakley doesn't crossdress

I knew about that and I don't get it, did the actor refuse to? Are they afraid it's controversial somehow? I don't get it.

Who cares what the actor has to say the aliens doing the crossdressing not him. I'm watching the movie and they already got him wearing human clothes in his first scene like his whole joke is that he's an earth fanatic that's never been to earth.

It didn't need to become a state.

Hawaii was fine being its own thing but greedy white america couldn't handle that and had to take it from the natives.

Nah those islands are rightful american clay, plus who the fuck respects the idea that bumfuck islanders can have a monarchy. No one.

Leroy

Not going for the Ruben/625 cameo

It even fails at nostalgia pandering.

Yes, They create a neighbor character for the purpose of this. She also takes Lilo to the pet store instead of Nani. This movie just loves creating new characters to split traits from the old ones.

Can someone tell me how the Ohana scene plays out as a gag? I'm curious how they managed to find a way to make it a joke. All I can think of is if Stitch mispronounces it and everyone laughs and moves on or somehting.

In the movie he turns because Stitch "convinced him" with a simple roar, it was more of a joke than an actual motivation.

Nobody knows who Leroy is, everyone knows Reuben! He's got plushies and pop figures and shit. They had this guy walking around Disney world just from a marketing standpoint it makes more sense to use him instead of Leroy hell Reuben can talk Leroy can't.

They create a neighbor character for the purpose of this. She also takes Lilo to the pet store instead of Nani. This movie just loves creating new characters to split traits from the old ones.

I'm pretty sure the neighbor characters are supposed to be ms hasagawa and David

1000092062.jpg - 1440x758, 144.97K

On top of all this, Nani literally blames Lilo getting fired off the luau place, which is true, but in the original she makes up a lie so she doesnt hurts her feelings
Seriously what the fuck were they thinking

Can someone tell me how the Ohana scene plays out as a gag? I'm curious how they managed to find a way to make it a joke.

It's in the trailer, Lilo does the ohana speech when stitch is fucking up the house and instead of Nani letting stitch go like she does in the original stitch slams the freezer door in her face

They also created a CPS worker so they can have Bubbles be a full time glowie... Except he's just an incompetent comic relief
Same with David which, while he was awkward around Nani, he never was stupid and served as an older brother to Lilo and Stitch

So they make the guys bumbling retards again. Like every modern movie.

can anyone confirm this leroy cameo cause it sounds really stupid

Bro that's gay. You can't have two dudes raising a kid that's gay.

Disney film telling the audience that you should give your children to the government so they don't get in your way

akshually she gives the child to her neighbor and David

Nani gives up custody of Lilo

It's not surprising considering between the first movie and now, we've had twenty years of brainwashing telling women that a $120k liberal arts degree should take priority over a kid, and that having kids is actually the most dream-crushing thing that could ever happen to you.

nani gives up custody of lilo

I'm gonna lose my fucking mind. No fucking way Disney would be that retarded after a year and a half of people rightly hating Snow White for changing too much of the core.

Did they fuck up the Grand Councilwoman? Please, not my waifu...

Why do I get some autistic fetish vibes from this art? Like TF or something?

It's the feet.

haha holy shit

Why.
Why does Disney hate what made them so adored.

Nani gives up custody of Lilo

No Gantu

Evil Jumba with no redemption arc

No alien form for Stitch

No Ohana scene with Stitch and Nani

No crossdressing Pleakly

Ohana means family turned into a joke

ain't no way. ain't no fucking way.

sniktwut.png - 285x311, 165.11K

I wonder if Chris Sanders saw all this in the script and just decided his passion is dead enough to take the Stitch paycheck

What offends me more than all of this is that normalfags will still eat it up because of memberberries and consoomer culture

I wonder if Chris Sanders saw all this in the script and just decided his passion is dead enough to take the Stitch paycheck

Fuck i'd take it, it's not like the original movie is going anywhere.

The original made a loose theme of it. The space empire are colonists and attempted to invade earth in the past, Bubbles had protected earth by arranging it to be an endangered species habitat for the ‘rare’ Mosquito. Lilo too pictures of the fat white guy with the ice cream, and other tourists, as if they were zoo animals.
A loose extended metaphor for the setting and theme of legal bodies meddling against a planet and family

Of course there was an anti-colonial message - Lilo literally goes around taking pictures of fat, ugly tourists like wildlife.

How can anyone hate on the undisputed best character?
When I was a kid, I thought he was a local.

Well that’s the joke because you’re as out of place as him

I cannot even fucking understand the thought process behind that first one

He's legitimately a local

Loose theme

Naw it's a total reach. Especially since Hawaii benefits from being a state. Smart move to avoid that shit

having kids is actually the most dream-crushing thing that could ever happen to you.

This is true though, I know because my mother tells it to me every day.

they made him an ice cream vendor in the cartoon

I thought being born poor was the most dream-crushing thing that could ever happen to you

The first song of the movie was a song written by the last hawaiian queen about them losing their babies and children to the colonizers and the aliens had so little respect for earth that they were going to destroy it just be sure Stitch wouldn't survive and only didn't due to enviromental red tape. It's about the small people having to stick together and support each other in the face of people that don't really care about their personal problems and needs in lieu of their "more important" priorities.

You understand that a bigger nation literally imposing their control over a smaller one isn't immigration at all right? It's like saying Rome annexing the eastern territories was just "aggressive roman immigration"

Even then. If you wanted evil stitch you have 627.
Leroy shouldn't be a piece of sequel bait.
He's not just "Stitch but evil", he's what Stitch would have been with no family to guide him

Yeah, anon, a story about a small family being torn apart due to factors beyond their control and forced to fit standards imposed to them by organizations that don't care about their personal needs and nuances isn't at all related to colonialism or imperialistm.

I am also anti Chinese immigration to the west.

I knew it would be bad, but this is depraved beyond words. I want to find the "creatives" involved in this atrocity and snapping their twig necks with my bare hands.

This movie just loves creating new characters to split traits from the old ones.

It's a fan service for the sake of giving a role to the voice ators from the original

the social worker is Nani's voice actress

the neighbor is Ms Hasagawa's voice actress

It wasn't even just a general colonialism theme. It was relatable to any kid who grew up in a major tourism spot.
Spain and a lot of Italy have this problem too.
What is "home" to you being constantly run over by people who consider it commodity was definitely partially about colonialism but was also a jab at international tourism.

Sure, but that isn't a point against the colonialism themes.

Did you know that Jumba looks extra cute and cartoony in this scene because Disney had to re-animate that whole scene due to removing the original version which included violence, destruction and weaponizing a gas leak. This had to happen at the 11th hour and they had to commission another studio to animate the replacement scene, which is why the characters look different.

34653456345.png - 2144x596, 1.84M

Yeah. Why would she need to go to UCLA anyway? Just go to a local collage and she could still visit Lilo everyday until she can get a job and settle down.

I directly said it was, you dork

Given how bad Nani seems to have it, It's more wanting to appeal to the kind of people in their 20s and 30s who say shit like "ow adulting is too hard", "My life's such a mess", etc.

Nani gives up Lilo so she can go to college

This has got to be a joke.
THIS HAS GOT TO BE A JOKE
PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A FUCKING JOKE

The saddest thing is that this shit is guaranteed tl make bank because people, especially Asia, doesnt give a shit about the original movie and just want to see Stitch being a cute menace

Yeah, good way to put it. Though there’s also this theme of oppressive meddling

She gives Lilo to David and his grandma

Found family. Hey Lilo, i ‘found’ you a family. Okay now bye

Sold her for meth money.

UCLA

There's your answer
Commiefornians want more recruits for their cults

It’s kind of funny that Stitchfags have to now deal with the BS writing everyone else had to deal with when Stitch helped destroy animation
You made your bed now lay in it

I thought it was UCSD?
Either way the University of Hawaii is going to be pissed.

Imagine how much lesbian college pussy Nani is getting after ditching the brat and moving to the mainland

It actually is UCSD, which makes it even worse
At least UCLA would be a top research college to somewhat justify the temporary move. Who the fuck is abandoning everything for UCSD?

Love stitch, but yes, it is really funny how we’ve blasted right through the golden age and are now doing Disney remakes of their alternative and postmodern era.

Why is "progressive" disney so homophobic? I don't want a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kiss between 2 randos, I want Stitch and Lilo's funny uncles back

Lots of Pacific Islanders in San Diego and the surrounding areas.
Involved in a ton of gang activity in Oceanside.
In a strange cultural exchange, they like to drive up to the Indian Casinos on the weekends and get into fights with tribal members.

Maybe Disney isn't so bad..

You really wanna get into it. The franchise was really mature about the concept of "power" and those who have it in general.
One reason I suspect they made Cobra Bubbles so different is because the original franchise was pretty fucking unafraid to make him both a well-meaning man and an extremely morally dubious glowie at times.
The second movie reveals he basically bugged their entire house while the show has an episode where there's an asteroid heading for Earth and he's basically going along with the government plan to get "key personnel" underground while the rest of humanity dies off until Lilo and Stitch step in

mfw the gay fatfags of Anon Babble in hiding are seething over this shit and Jumba being done dirty in the worst way possible

Crossdressing is unironically just too controversial now.

What I hate the most is that this movie will still make a gajillion bucks for Disney, shit sucks.

This. The rest of movie is even worse beyond that but still.

The original movie was a silly cartoon about what happens when a weird little girl adopts a dangerous alien as a dog, but it was confident enough to take itself seriously when it needed to.
Having the 'Ohana means family' scene be a joke scene shows this film suffers from the same insincerity and lack of confidence that these other shit films do.
Middle finger.

Thanks to this movie now i sympathize with AM...

It's baffling that they managed to miss the point of the original film so hard. Try to grasp that the original movie was made for actual children, who were also supposed to figure out the themes of family, sticking together, and that kind of stuff and somehow it flew completely over the head of these supposed adults.

Crossdressing Pleakley was gonna be added but disney didn't want it in.I don't really get it... they "loooves" being progressive but godforbid a character in their movie does drag.
Besides it's just a funny gag how it's a terrible disguise and it doesn't fit at all but Pleakley just does it anyways because he doesn't understand humans and then just starts doing it cuz he thinks he looks good

Why would Disney comment on the tourism, when they themselves are trying to buy up lands to make Disney Isands™ Park Lands and Resort?

I though you guys said the Director was a fan of the original, no fan of the original would do this.

I knew about that and I don't get it, did the actor refuse to? Are they afraid it's controversial somehow? I don't get it.

The director wanted to do it and the execs said no. Basically since they were already cutting animation budget by having them be humans, a human male wearing drag the whole time is no longer "alien isn't beholden to human cultural gender memes and likes wigs and dresses" and becomes more of a joke/commentary about gender norms and conventions as it relates to humans more directly.

It's been so controversial that there are anti-drag laws that classify anything with drag as "adult entertainment". Also the Dlyan Mulvaney thing happened because of just a social media beer shilling post to a limited Instagram audience.

One could argue live action remakes were doomed from the start, but especially after the absolute dumpster fire that was Mulan I dont know why anyone cares about these or is surprised they suck ass. Live action stitch missed the point and is just a weaker version of the animated film in every way? Color me shocked

You retards who won't shut up about this are braindead. They already said it was hard to get it to work in live action because the suspension of disbelief for the humor of the 2D cartoon wouldn't work enough in the movie. Fucking hell shut the fuck up.

they "loooves" being progressive

That was more recently played up because there was a walk out over Disney donating to DeSantis and supporting him. Disney stopped funding him and DeSantis retaliated. That should be a bigger story, money in politics, legal retribution for refusing to bribe government, but that all was all filed away under "culture war" and people got annoying about the wrong things.

It's real, but even then the movie doesn't commit because she takes Jumba's portal gun (made because the excets didn't want to pay for the big final fight the original had) and she can visit Lilo whenever, who in this remake was adopted by the newly introduced elderly lady neighbor.

Source?

I hope the movie bombs

noooo, white people are not allowed to improve a savage civilization with their superior technology let alone go there to relax with their family!!!!!

He's not even the most iconic experiment there's 625 other experiments they could've shown

No, but he got his own movie about him, so he has some importance in the franchise.
But the true reason is that his model is literally just a red Stitch, so he was the easiest one to include.

Ah yes, because live-action comedies have never done the joke of shitty disguises that everyone believes without question.
Choke in a million dicks.

You and I both know this is going to be a massive success for Disney, just like the Lion King one.
Look forward to live-action Lilo and Stitch 2.

It's because it's fucking live action with a very obviously detailed alien with one eye. The joke is easier to buy in 2D than fucking grotesque CGI. Holy fuck I hate this board so much. I wish this site never fucking came back.

they knew, but they are evil

Pleakley Sexo

Boy do I got some news for you.

walt.png - 1206x668, 1.57M

Ohana means foster care

in 3D, the joke of aliens wearing wigs and liking it suddenly doesn't work

How?

Jumba is never redeemed

What?

sounds like a skill issue to me

The next door neighbors established and supportive. Them fostering Lilo and Lilo and Nani staying together via portal gun is fine.

Jumba remains the villain of the film, Gantu isn't there to take over the role.

Because the point isn't just having him wear drag, the point is him disguising and people buying it through the joke of "that's an ugly lady LOL", which is harder to buy in live action when it's excessively illustrated as an alien. How can you people be so god damn braindead? I don't fucking understand. How can people be this fucking stupid jesus christ.

It removes literally everything of substance from the original. Why worry about Lilo being taken away when she can just... be given over? And is? Why worry about Nani being under stress when she still has a parental figure to talk to? Why care about Nani at fucking all when they remove the scene where she overhears Lilo wanting a friend and taking her to get a dog despite it being more responsibility on her showing she's selfless and cares, when instead the fucking woman just takes her and they get the dog completely disconnected from Nani?!

Fucking christ.

Trannies would probably throw a fit. You can't make fun of men dressing like women anymore. Now you have to pretend they are heckin valid

should we keep the original message about family sticking together through adversity

nah just break it up and have her go to fucking college

Soulless cretin.

Trannies literally see him as an icon and are the ones throwing a fit about it being missing on twitter. Literally no one is mad about it, it’s a pointless change.

It also looks like shit

nah just break it up and have her go to fucking college

You vill get ze student loans
You vill get ze worthless degree
You vill wage for Mr. Shecklestein
You vill not have a family

It just feels like trying to have your cake and eat it too.

I hate the voice for Jumba. If they wanted to use that voice for his human self fine but he should not fucking sound like that while being a walking ball of fat and blubber

Do we have Mertle tho?

My best guess is that accents aren't allowed anymore unless they're accurate to the voice actor.
Because that's the reality we live in now.

Ohana means family and the Feds are your family :)

He gets arrested at the end and it's implied they'll be neutering him ("fixing him") and everyone celebrates.

rip.png - 1605x666, 751.24K

I like how when they're arresting him they just... shut his brain off and act like it's not creepy at all. The feds are indeed our heroes.

Crossdressing gags are dying in cartoons. Leftists hate that it's a gag and general public sentiment is starting to turn against trannies, who are now heavily associated with the act. The act is no longer whimsical and unusual but mundane and serious, whether you think it's good or bad. Cartoonists and animators of the past were not burdened by this environment.

He's more evil and sociopathic. At his most sympathetic, he's likely just being a manipulative Hannibal Lecter type. He wants to run off with Stitch and program him to be a heartless weapon. Also he destroys Lilo's parents stuff to lure Lilo to him. In the original, their house gets wrecked up by alien shootout antics, in this one Jamba sees what Lilo is attached to and starts shooting it.

Yeah, Lilo shoves her off the stage instead of biting her

Leftists hate that it's a gag

Idk man are you sure?

The remake really is just the original with the edges sanded away

Maybe far-leftists get pissy about it but level headed people don't get in a twist about shit like that

The family is kept together. And Nani already had an acceptance letter meaning her wants and abilities are different this time. Plus, the supporting family is ohana all the same.

But yes. Introducing the concept of Nani wanting to go to college and then needing to sacrifice that to take care of her troubled sister/daughter is sad, but we get it. Nani failing to keep Lilo because the CPS case worker wasn't also CIA and things working out for the best isn't as good as no college in the picture and Bubbles just letting them stay.

Crossdressing gags are dying

Crossdressing gags are already dead, Disney has straight up banned them in their cartoons last I heard, probably because of the whole Princess Marco thing.

It's funny that the "you vill eat ze bugs" types fail to realize that WEF was representing private sector interests this whole time. It's just free market capitalists.

The thing here is that the far-leftists are always the loudest, so Disney would rather try to avoid upsetting them.
And don't forget the far-right also hates anything that could even be related to trannies, so that's another reason to avoid the gag.

they're the loudest

We've had threads of that claim and no one has posted an example of leftist or "far leftists" getting mad about cross dressing in cartoons. This is an assumption made by the socially retarded.

Lilo & Stitch 2: Let There Be Leroy

Seriously. I see this shit and I'm mystified. Who would want this? Why the fuck would I spend a shitload of cash to take my family to the theater to see an OBJECTIVELY WORSE version of a film I own on blu-ray? What fucking sense does that make?

They also changed Pleakley's first name from Wendy to Wendell, even though Wendy was a butch name for his species. They really are just trying to avoid anything potentially controversial

It's a big world anon, get out of your bubble.
The point is that Disney simply would rather avoid any controversy like that, even if it's only from a relatively small group.

We should be thankful the HTTYD remake is a shot-for-shot copy.

That's the reality we live in now.

How many Stitch-like experiments were made?

Except for what they did to the love interest.

It's a big world of annoying lefties all over social media and I'm just supposed to imagine there's some controversy no one can prove? No wait, the goal post was moved to "just imagine Disney is afraid of what could happen".

just imagine Disney is afraid of what could happen

That's exactly it anon.

It's like saying Rome annexing the eastern territories was just "aggressive roman immigration"

youtube.com/watch?v=Qc7HmhrgTuQ

Let's split Lilo and Nani up in the end

What if we wanna do a sequel with Leroy?

Ok let's give Nani jumba's portal gun so she can visit Lilo from college

At that point just keep them together and have Nani use the portal gun to go to college and have the old bitch babysit like is Nani just not gonna be living next door anymore is she even gonna be in Hawaii? Is Nani coming back for her after college? What happens when the old bitch dies? I feel like turning your 6 year old sister to a probably 60 year old woman is a bad idea if the old lady dies Lilo is gonna be turned over to the state anyway

But nothing indicates that that's the controversy they're afraid of and not the proven anti-drag and Dylan Mulvaney controversies.

I know it's just one of many problems this shitshow has, but it's amazing how they can take a scene from the orginal, already done perfectly, and fuck up everything about it.
youtu.be/VIxaZy5M9lA?si=rCgnuSfi-sWbP-3c&t=79

They already said it was hard to get it to work in live action because the suspension of disbelief for the humor of the 2D cartoon wouldn't work enough in the movie

then
why
fucking
remake
it

same reason they didn't care about anything else making sense. disney hasn't been a sincere company in a long time. and trying to find sincere people to wedge themselves into the industry to make things better is difficult since we're at the point where people growing up on insincerity are making their own retarded shit

They can be afraid of multiple things.

Where can I get more info about these guys?

why does 3D pleakley look so fucking creepy? what did they do to him?

they "loooves" being progressive

Here is the thing, they actually don't.

The writers do (because many writers are queer and it's part of their personal experience), but the executives usually don't and writers have to push really to get any gay shit out. Executives will take credit when a progressive thing get popular, though.

0.jpg - 686x386, 58.96K

By "Stitch-like" experiments, I assume he means these.

the television series

My tourist-speak is a bit lacking: Can someone translate this post into plain English?

i like that people eons ago decided 621 was canon despite his game getting retconned to hell and back

Most people are still gonna watch this live-action remake solely because they recognize Stitch and it's a new Disney movie.

I don't recognize him, I'm a 628 Chad all the way.

look how they buried my boy

I don't mind

I watched a pretty good video going over each of them
youtu.be/NSMiPd9Eby4

meet Potential Experiment!

Something went wrong.

Truly the worst part of remakes

Hate how this happens with any new material based on something old. Happened for awhile with Little Mermaid too. Hopefully once searching it goes down it goes back to normal. Though TLM's remake is still the first result with its wikipedia page.

wanting accents for your characters

Uhm let's cool it with the racism goy

Series continuation/reboot or a new show when?

when the remake brings in $20 grillion dollars and Disney decides to milk it for all its worth with even worse plot edits than we got right now

But there's a mountain of proof and actual legal action on one side and just assumptions regarding the existence of theoretical fringe lefty opinion. Why even play "muh both sides" about this if not to just cover for a corporation that was already bending for DeSantis before bending for the right again?

I feel like you're arguing over something else, my point is simply that Disney sands off everything that might be controversial or offensive to anyone.

I'd be even more thankful if they didn't fucking exist

Yin and Yang are my favorites.

Removing drag to cater to the right is also offensive though.

He was easier and cheaper to include since he is a physical carbon copy of stitch

You wanna know where I really hated it? The Pet Sematary remake.
Of all the fucking Stephen King stories where the ending needs to be changed and you pick the ONE where he absolutely fucking nailed the ending?
I still have trouble deciphering why they did that because they replaced the iconic thematic ending with an incredibly generic one... so people wouldn't predict it

That was a major theme for the movie, well at least it was before they deleted those scenes from the movie, including the one where Lilo goes to the beach and tells the cat tourists to go home.
That’s still in the movie with Lili taking pics of fat Americanos like a child gawking at bizarre zoo animals.
Also, it’s very much implied that Lilo and Nani are poor. Part of the reason why there is so much Native poverty in Hawaii is because of the tourism industry buying up land and raising prices, pushing everyone into rentals or homelessness

2002 Family/Comedy

2025 Comedy/Sci-fi

They really did kill ohana

he has this artstyle on all the reanimated stuff, including his spaceship through the city stuff too

What is this body type called?

Perfect.

Again. The tourism and commercialism seem to be the biggest targets partially because that one is becoming a problem in former colonial empires (Spain is having a fucking nightmare, especially after AirBnB and apparently Hawaii is so accustomed to it they passed real estate laws the moment that AirBnB popped up because they saw it coming a mile away.)

Just rewatched the original with my father, we both cried

The remake is sadder though. Stitch doing the "till we meet again" was heartbreaking.

One review made a solid point that once Stitch retracts his extra arms and other alien features into marketable plushie mode, we never see them again. So Lilo never actually sees his true form,

Samoan king

What a shame he wasn't in the live action. Then again maybe it was a blessing in disguise. If Jumba and Pleakleys design have anything to say.

It seems audiences love the film despite being inferior to the original in every possible way

file.png - 1476x458, 366.48K

It is telling that threads about it here are just moaning about how the old one is just better. It is better, but that doesn't make this a bad movie.

Why should anyone watch the live action version over the original though?

It was more of a thing in an earlier draft. It was supposed to be a plainly spelled out 'joke' that Lilo takes a bunch of pictures of tourists the same way theyre always taking pictures of Hawaiians

i put the new forgis on the jeep

Elastico lives in a society

I thought Lilo just had a fixation with taking photos of fatties.

They're already planning a sequel with Hamsterviel and Sparky, it would be a good chance to redeem Jumba but I'm not gonna hold my breath

I laughed

It's very wild how the people that make this slop can kill such a easy joke to explore
The main appeal of Jumba is that he violated the space Geneva Conversation and created the equivalent of a nuclear bomb in his garage just because he treats it as a hobby, he is a maniac but at same time completely reasonable, which makes him way closer to Stich than people think
Is this another one of those Chinese mandates where you can't show characters getting away with crime?

Fuck man, are they really?

I'll remember you though, I remember everyone that leaves

458387473763.png - 1280x720, 529.81K

Yes, it is noticeable that he was more interested in Stich's development than on the mission.

The main appeal of Jumba is that he violated the space Geneva Conversation and created the equivalent of a nuclear bomb in his garage just because he treats it as a hobby

Repeatedly even.

Reminds me of Lion King 2019. The changes actually make the story worse and remove tension.

Why do people cosplay? Why do people write fan fiction? It's just more cake if you already liked the cake.

Anyone angry at Disney's continued Anti Male Themes?

For this movie, Jumba is now evil, officer Bubbles is now antagonistic, and in some cases certain male characters like Gantu are deleted.

This is what I mean that Disney is for girls. If you're a dude Disney has NEVER been for you. Disney has always leaned to the vagina. And I for one am sick of it. Disney Feminism Star Wars is not the first time they've shown how Anti Male they are.

If you are a male of any kind your job is to divorce from Disney to do everything in your power to help them starve to death. Its why I won't buy any of their shitty media like Kingdom Hearts for example. To hell with Disney for even pretending they can appeal to dudes. And Phineas and Ferb has always been lame stupid looking shit.

Mickey.png - 1200x1816, 922.84K

Actually rather famously the Kaiser once told his cousin, Prince Albert IIRC, to fuck off and wait his turn to be introduced at a dinner party because the King of Hawaii was a king and worth more than anything his faggot ass would ever amount to. So at very least that guy did I guess.

old Disney movies like Tangled

what do you mean old Disney movies are not Aladdin and Mulan anymore?

64746764385.jpg - 225x225, 7.81K

Pinocchio and Lilo and Stitch are my favorite Disney movies

They suffered the worst with these awful remakes

Goddamn I wonder how bad Hercules is going to be.

It's easy to talk about colonialism because everybody else shuts that shit down and denies it completely like asia. Remember free tibet? Nobody else does.

I feel like turning your 6 year old sister to a probably 60 year old woman is a bad idea if the old lady dies Lilo is gonna be turned over to the state anyway

Or, if the old lady does bite the bullet, Nani will be forced to stop her education just to come back home, thus throwing all the hard work away if it happened before graduation, and STILL being saddled with a college bill.

cannot wait for the fucking Meet the Robinsons live-action

Between this and the whole thing of Lilo being given up to the state, removing Gantu the state funded badguy, and so on there's an unironically hardcore commie "Obey Big Brother" bootlicking vibe from everything desu.

I dread what would happen to Pocahontas and Hunchback.

Savages and Hellfire cannot be touched by modern Disney, they are barely even human pretending to put human emotions on their films at this point.

At least Rapunzel was still an endearing girl protag so it kinda softens the blow of Eugene getting injured all the time. I'd say it started getting annoying around Wreck it Ralph because Venelope is not appealing at all to make up for Ralph and what he puts up with. Despite how much Disney likes to push Rapunzel making a cocky pose with her frying pan in the marketing she's still a fairly sweet girl and fits in line with older values for heroines, so I can buy Eugene getting fucked over is a bit more like earnest slapstick or at least serious when he got stabbed. But after Tangled I couldn't stand the "bumbling guy getting bonked and stressed with girl who swiftly avoids all obstacles" nonsense anymore.

Honestly I think Tangled was the last movie where I actually supported a relationship in anything. Like I could root for them being together. As opposed to now where I feel like there's usually something broken or unlikeable about a dynamic.

icegif-1447.gif - 500x500, 1.23M

the Kaiser

The old man, the cancer patient, or the cripple?

Guillermo del Toro shit on Disney's nu-Pinocchio. Fuck modern Disney, my heart turns pitch black with hatred.

People literally talking about Lilo being given to the neighbour in this very thread

"Lilo being given up to the state"

Do you have filters on or something, what the fuck is this?

Calls a post with "Normalfag" in it a tourist

Holy mother of god could you be more of an obvious newfag.

Whites have the advantage of being evil lying fucks that will sign treaties and then completely ignore those treaties. They share a lot in common with jews.

I won't be lectured by naked cannibals.

It's the now traditional Disney astroturfing they do with every release now, give it a month and once the cope budget runs out we'll see the dozens of articles blaming people for not seeing it before admitting it flopped a month after that.

But you'll be lectured by plucked chickens?

At least Rapunzel was still an endearing girl protag so it kinda softens the blow of Eugene getting injured all the time

It's because both are goofballs that bounce from each other, it's endearing rather than annoying.
It also works because he is pretending to be someone else and rapz slowly breaks him out of that, I really didn't expect Tangled to be this enjoyable when I first watched it.

I guess the implication is that David, Bubbles, and Pleakley will take over in that case.
Wait why is Bubbles living with them again? Doesn't he already have his own place?

wtf

Noooo! Don't comment on the bad aspects of this like the military take over and retarded tourists!

Nooo! Removing things in a remake isn't just disrespectful it's WOKE! Don't do it!

And you'll fiiind that there cooomes a time... for makin' your mind up!

TROLL SING.jpg - 500x500, 39.78K

They made EVERYONE bumbling retards in this film. Its like the original film if it got a lobotomy, it's pure corporate malice.

I never watched Gravity Falls, does the show really put Mabel on a pedestal for her bad ideas? I know Adventure Time really cucked finn with any kind of development in favor of shipping a fascist psychopath with a vampire.

is there one of angel pls if she's futa that would be an added boner-- er bonus

or one with male stitch

They prolly made her super black or something.

They could've stayed faithful to the book series though that the entire franchise is based on.

Wilhelm I or II, can't recall which. Forget which Albert it was too. Definitely British though.

Pretty much. Even the actual devil telling her off for being a huge piece of shit slides off of her like water off a duck and is just taken as him being an asshole and evil.

whites are stupid and weak but also master criminals

I hate whites because they're all fascists also I hate the Jews

people have to refute this by using antiracist arguments to defend white people

Based retard

I watched the whole show and yeah, they handled Mabel and Dipper very poorly. Mabel was fine early on and I liked their dynamic, siblings who were like really good friends. I liked the little moments where they'd support each other, pal around, etc. Them working together to solve the case in the wax murder episode was fun. Dipper breaking up with Gideon for her was sweet, because she hated the idea of being mean and letting Gideon down (as opposed to any other reason Dipper would have to do it for her. She even admits she should've done it herself at the end.) But by Season 2 she started feeling like Lisa Simpson. Maybe more around the Mermando episode, idk. She was fine early on but they messed her up bad and Dipper started feeling like he was not equals with her because she was the cute funny quirky girl everyone cares about more. This is the same show that handled Wendy letting Dipper down with tact and then proceeded to drag him through the mud over it twice later for no fucking reason.

Yeah, that's true.

Explain the US government then. How can you be retarded and also master criminals?

I mean if people are going to rally behind Korra and stuff like this then I may just agree with them. I agree with X-men too, people should have their own Krakoa and enforce eugenics and totalitarian rule. I'm glad everything is political.

Are you one of the rare leftoids who genuinely wants this, or one of the rare rightoids who genuinely believes this (instead of, you know, using it as an excuse to be racist) being uber ironic?

Eithe way it's rather sad and tryhard, and karma will come when idiot Donald brands you a terrorist because the FBI found it and you're too stupid to know that sarcasm is hard to tell online especially for those morons

Now stop shoehorning ID pol in and shit talk the flick like a normal person

She does get push back and she usually does right in the end, but it wasn't until the comics did Mabel call out herself. That and she's 12.

Also forgot about the pig episode. Dipper points out that she gets clingy to the point of thinking her life gets changed over a ball of yarn but she'd still beat her head against a pole for a whole month. So the signs were there in season 1, everything just got exacerbated in Season 2. They even let her bring her fucking pig back home to California with no warning and the parents would be pissed. But because Mabel literally has to have everything work in her favor the uncles say they'll kill the busdriver if he doesn't let the pig on the bus and the parents will have to deal with accomodating a pig in normal ass california.

Oh wow, I only saw the trailer once but I genuinely did not recognize him.

With context it's not as bad as I thought.

That is my point - you can't be both; it's contradictory to talk in absolutes and generalise about an entire group with them; you get a mix of individuals

You can't be both

The US government proves you can.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide

The problem is the series doesn't call her out much. They touch on it, like the illuminati demon tells Dipper he has sacrificed a lot for her but she hasn't for him, but by the finale she causes the apocalypse and it's not even a plot point. You'd think the demon would lord that over the twins to create drama between them by revealing it to Dipper but no. The comics just pick it up because enough people raised a stink over it so they felt they had to do damage control. Which is really bad that they didn't think it needed to be touched on in the finale. Instead an entire episode during the finale has to be focused on convincing Mabel to come back and help stop reality from falling apart because of her selfish desire.

it is an assorted group; but that's not the sae thing as an entire ethnig group; to generalise there is just stupid

In her dreamworld she also replaced Dipper with a version of him she'd prefer and it's just played as a joke that it upsets Dipper instead of acknowledging how insulting that is.

That sounds more like a writing problem than anything malicious. It's like how Steven Universe set up all this trauma and awful shit done by white diamond or whatever and the resolution is she just apologizes and they forgive her. I think people are too worried about following tropes that they try and circumvent them, but those tropes exist because people enjoy them. The millennial desire to subvert expectations has damaged storytelling pretty bad.

It's a bit more complicated than that, but generally yes. It's strange because the show DOES occasionally call out her shitty behavior, only to immediately backpedal and coddle her and she ends up regressing because of it. For example:

Mabel falls for a weird puppet guy

Dipper helps her get close to the guy at his expense

this ends up frustrating Dipper and he makes a deal that ends up getting putting himself in danger

Mabel realizes this and she sacrifices any chance of getting with the puppet guy to save Dipper

but turns out the Puppet Guy was a total freak and it wouldn't have worked out anyway, so she learned fuck all from it

Because the show never wants to challenge her character or forces her to grow in any way, she just ends up getting worse until it reaches a boiling point in the final arc. It got so bad Alex Hirch made what was basically an apology comic for how hard he fumbled her character, years after the show ended.

Mabel-min.png - 2730x2048, 1.83M

They never wanted to commit to Mabel being in the wrong but would glady keep harkening back to how "wrong" Dipper was for just having a normal ass crush on an older friendly girl. They resolve that plot but then have to have 2 different episodes framing him as a creep for it. Yet Mabel can do all the shit Dipper does (flirting and intentionally trying to go after multiple boys when all Dipper was trying to do was get contact information on a road trip, to which he then accepts being called terrible and a loser over and starts self-depricating himself to appease Candy??) and Mabel never is treated like a creep. Just "hilariously insistent" because it's cute.

I don't understand why Dipper was the one getting shit for having a crush on an older girl. You can say it's unrealistic but he's not a fucking pervert. Everybody has such weird views on age of consent now like they don't even understand why it exists in the first place.

Yeah, ending the episode with her helping Dipper not be possessed and in control of the devil only to say "woof, dodged a bullet there by focusing on my brother and not continuing to pursue my crush since he turned out to be insane" was a lil bit retarded. Like they needed to validate that decision instead of just letting her give up an appealing possibility and focusing on the value of her brother and that just be it.

Wasn't Mabel actively flirting with random older dudes at points in the show and they just treated it like it was quirky and cute?

She had flirtations with the boyband characters but I don't know. The hypocrisy is pretty much a blanket covering everything.

nobody gives a shit about gravity fags

Except he's just an incompetent comic relief

I always knew that eventually the wokies would get bored of going after white men and black men would be next on their list.

It’s why it seems like a complete shame not getting Kevin McDonald for the live action role, fucker would’ve worked as an alien so well

i dont think he really had a redemption arc, he just got away with it

In the first episode she creeped (comedically) on that kingdom of savings guy who looked like an early teen. They also started introducing love interests that felt like Lisa Simpson love interests where they're clearly adults drawn like kids (though usually in Simpsons' case it was because they were forced celebrities or something.) Both Mermando and Gabe (especially Gabe with his face) were like mini adults. Not that that quite counts, just wanted to mock it.

Also yeah the boyband episode, where I think the main concern was just her keeping them in her bedroom forever and treating them like wild animals when they needed to be free, not because they were weirdly adult males in her bedroom. If Dipper had a girl band of older women and had them in his bedroom while Mabel was off doing some other adventure there'd be commentary on how much of a creep he was, especially taking into account how mentally handicapped the band members were. But it's ok because the episode was inspired by the creator's sister's love of N-Sync.

Go to one of the other multiple Lilo and Stitch remake vent threads then. This one was designed around alternate conversation about character assassination.

Nani not being the one to take Lilo to get a dog is a massive fucking mistake and a complete undermining of their original relationship which was a core aspect of the original, holy shit.

So who the fuck is paying for Nani's college, in the movie and show it clearly states she wants a job so she can provide for Lilo, but who is providing for her education and Lilo if she doesn't have a job, is she expecting to leech off David and her grandma until she graduates and Lilo turns 18

triggered about mabel pines

no fuck off. shit up a different thread with this boring shit

It's literally a thread about being triggered about characters being written poorly. It's ok if you lost sight of that since this was primarily treated like a L&S thread due to Jumba in the OP and it was easy to get this thread mixed up with multiple others right now.

Game?

It's a movie for ESLs that like brand recognition and nothing else.

He lost his lab and was exiled to Earth, he ultimately redeemed himself by helping to clean up his mess and got a lab out of it, but realized that he preferred living on Earth with Pleakley and family.
Basically the opposite lesson that Nani learns in this movie.

So who the fuck is paying for Nani's college

She sucks off guys behind the toilets for the tuition.

She got a scholarship that paid for everything

I remember playing one for the Playstation 1

It doesn't matter if he is or not when Bob Chapek is doing the actual directing. Chances are the director's only contribution is putting his name there.

Crippling student loans that will follow her into her 40s.

Holy fucking shit

The WEF doesn't run shit. It's a big LARP session by people who wish they ran the world.

Dawn now I have to see it. I wish someone post link to it

I like how they have to push no tourist commentary and fucking fat jokes as "offensive" mixed in with all these actually insulting things

Treasure Planet remains safely buried for now. but it's coming.

when Stitch helped destroy animation

?????
If anything Stitch kept 2D animation alive far longer than it would've, what the fuck are you even on about?!

What happened?

Fuck you Dave

I wish they went with the originally planned ending. It's even bleaker than the one that ends with the imminent murder of a toddler.
youtube.com/watch?v=0ZDyXc-ZdNE

Since Gantu is not in the movie. Jumba became the main antagonist instead.

Is this proof that Jews are white?

Anon Disney's literally paying through the nose for astroturfed reviews, this shit means nothing.

So they're just ignoring the show, movie and anime, and donghua?
One of my Hawaiian friends told me to avoid the live action one and I'm gonna listen.
Honestly what do these changes even do? Why remove a cool villain? Not to mention changed the ending? Going to college? Why the fuck would you abandon Lilo to the neighbors? This film just spits in the face of the original.

Right next to Hercules and Emperor's New Groove this was one of my favorites.

the Muses are scrapped

Phil's being played by Dwane the Rock Johnson

the romance between Herc and Meg is played up for laughs

Meg decides to stay in the underworld

all these retards throwing shitfits

It's a Disney live-action remake? What the fuck did you expect?
Stop expecting anything resembling quality, in fact stop thinking about them altogether. The original still, and will always, exist and be superior.

2intelligent.png - 600x508, 255.95K

millennial

They got it from Gen X.

watching/following nerdrotic

I'd say people are more annoyed then usual at this point because they changed so much from the source material that didn't need to be changed that story's quality has completely dipped. Also that it's one of the first post-modern Disney classics that's been tampered with.

Live action Emperor's New Groove

tampered with

What the fuck are you talking about. They didn't go back in time and change the fucking movie. Just ignore the dead horse they're trying to beat for money, jesus christ.

076.png - 605x264, 25.94K

Funny how immigration stops being good as soon as it hurts non-white people

They, like you, like all retarded third world hunter-gatherers can give back all the modern technology, education, healthcare, and social advancements and return to a life of idyllic savagery anytime they wish.

THANK A WHITE MAN YOU UNGRATEFUL CAVE DWELLER

Would be horrible. Nearly all the jokes take advantage of it being an animated movie.

...do you not know how Twitter works? That's just the first response in the thread you moron.

The remake is sadder though

The fuck it is

WE WUZ INVENTAZ AND CIVILIZAS AND VIKANGZ AN SHEEEIT

Maybe on the second weekend if the cinemascore is lower than an A. A- for Thunderbolts pretty much killed that film after a good opening

Yzma becomes a good guy after we see her traumatic childhood. Kuzco needs to learn to respect women and forgives Yzma for trying to kill him (which wouldn't have happened if he didn't fire her).

Kronk isn't strong anymore but still acts dumb. Sammy is a new character in a wheelchair and the other bodyguard to Yzma. He is big and strong. Kronk turns out to be a psychopath pretending to be dumb the whole movie. Sammy and Yzma have a change in heart and help arrest Kronk in the movie's climax and Kuzco goes to live on the house on the hill and Yzma gets to be empress.

Kronk turns out to be a psychopath pretending to be dumb the whole movie.

Sounds interesting

You are not Americans , you are Anglos .You are NorthWestern European , Germanic shit

Assassination is a strong word for Bo, maybe a bit too dramatic for her, but still. I actually liked the bit of chemistry we got to see between her and Woody early on, she was a bit sultry and it made me like that Woody might have romance with her because she was kind to him and helped him de-stress. That scene where she tells him to look under his boot, and see Andy's name, and that he'll love Woody with or without his hat was sweet. In Movie 4 she's just a cold bitch and I don't root for him with her at all and it's actually disappointing he chooses her over everyone. Like what he finds attractive about her isn't that she's nice and they have chemistry, it's because he admires how badass she is. She practically treats him like a nuisance half the time because he's bumbling around on her turf she's so knowledgable about. They even retcon her being some strategic badass as always having been there rather than at least something she forced herself into due to random epic circumstances out in the world.

Same reason I don't like Mario liking Peach in the movie. It's just more about him admiring how awesome she is rather than them just being your typical wholesome cute semi-couple. They couldn't even help themselves but to subvert any semblence of traditional romance by them seeing each other in slow motion and her attacking him. Like the Ohana means family joke in the live action remake, anything meaningful can't be taken too seriously.

bo peach.png - 1335x761, 751.88K

tfw watching this movie as a kid

Grand Councilwoman does nothing for me

watching it now

find her the sexiest character in the movie, above both Nani and the lifeguard

Why did you have to ruin me, Anon Babble? I was content being normal.

enjoying trash taste

even if youre being ironic. its just not funny.

these were fucking awful

This guy was taught with Whole Word learning instead of phonics

There is no chance of that. The overwhelmingly positive normie response to this is extremely depressing but I can't say I'm surprised

It sucks for the Mario movie because we actually see how Peach would react if Mario died, like actually seriously died, and she just moves right on past it to focus on bigger things. She barely seems phased for 2 seconds and it doesn't affect how she handles things at all, if anything after Mario "dies" she's better than ever. Basically solves everything, takes out everyone and incapacitates Bowser until one slipup (not someone attacking her or getting the better of her, her lighting a bomb and standing next to it when it went off.) Like for Bo Peep there's at least some semblence of sentimentality pushing their romance, an old connection trying to rekindle or whatever even if it sucks dick.

It's a great movie. Chuds are just complaining because they think Nani fulfilling her dreams rather than being forced to be an autist's caregiver is a bad thing.

Kys tranny

i just sincerely do not understand what the fuck braindead normalfags see in these dogshit remakes to keep giving them millions of dollars. i thought snow white flopping was a good sign that maybe they finally woke up a bit, but they seem absolutely enamored by this garbage.

Shut up you stupid faggot

The overwhelmingly positive normie response

Fucking WHERE?

People "woke up" to how bad capeshit has been lately too but it still goes and gets supported. And that shit's shown even if it "flops" because it's "slop", it won't die out anyway. There's just no changing anything, and people will eventually go back to their old ways of supporting garbage.

The original ending of the book is so fucking classic it just, doesn't need to be changed.
The Pet Sematary remake ending just fucks up the entire story because it slowly moves away from the horror of human grief and into a more generic monster flick as it goes.
When the choice to try the Sematary again is taken away from him and put into the hands of the monsters deciding to make more monsters?
Yeah you've fucked up the story. He gets over his denial way too fucking fast too

He's a fucking wojakposter, of course he's a tourist.

The only people complaining about the movie are SJWs because they made Nani whiter and removed the queer representation of pleakley. Actual chuds are loving the film

has hawaii been having issues with tourism after the OG lilo & stitch movie?

Taxpayers?

Do Mertle and her posse appear?

Like the Ohana means family joke in the live action remake, anything meaningful can't be taken too seriously.

I'm assuming referring to the trailer.
youtube.com/watch?v=m5fMyIImwEY
That's not how that scene plays in the movie. There, Stitch goes upstair after messing the house and then Lilo and Nani have a brief conversation about what they're going through

Del Toro should've been able to direct the adaptation like he wanted. He always gets screwed out of great projects.

It feels like Del Toro would have gone extremely stylized and out there with the direction and extremely fucking faithful with the story.
The worst part of that remake is I can't even call the new ending bad. It's just so fucking generic compared to the book and original adaptation's extremely unique and thematic one.
In many regards, you could make Pet Sematary 2019/Lilo and Stitch 2025 in a "missed the point" double pack DVD. Maybe add the Tom Hanks Pinocchio.

Wreck it Ralph 2 assassinated Ralph, Veneloppe who I already didn't like, every Disney princess

Yzma becomes a good guy

I wanted The Emperor's New School to end this way. We had seen so much of her at that point that I couldn't help but want her to be redeemed.

Haven't seen it. This movie is sequel baiting right? From the amount of changes made and cut content, it feels intentional they want to double or triple dip for maximum profit.

Lmao look at all these people falling for the obvious shitpost. Not a single one of these happened in the movie.

627 is a bad design for marketing because he got a damn ugly conehead

I dread what would happen to Pocahontas and Hunchback.

I don't think Disney's gonna touch Pocahontas desu. It wasn't that popular when it came out, and of all the Disney Renaissance movies it's aged the worst. Not as much nostalgia to cash in on.

no Frenchfry

no impossibly obese girl being rolled away

he's that one white guy that becomes an honorary local.

truth nuke

Thats the thing though, they wont have much a choice in the matter now that their well of content to mine is drying up fast. Their only other options is to be desperate enough to remake their lesser known films (lol) , or go full steam ahead on sequels (which have proven to have diminishing returns, with every sequel/prequel selling significantly worse than the last).

Everything else will be true, but no Herc would be played by The Rock.

TIL Lilo and Stitch has a whole Sonic/Shadow dynamic

Always liked this guy seemed chill

627 was in a single episode of the show, Leroy got a whole movie about him, it's obvious who they would use.

This unfortunately doesn't have the issue of one of the main actresses making political statements. This is a movie shoved out as fast as possible with a character who is probably one of the most iconic modern Disney mascots that is designed to sell merch. As long as he has cute moments, people will claim the movie was good.
