To be frank, the conversation here is pretty biased towards larger franchises - which isn’t actually answering the question.
No one here is talking about the Goblins or the TwoKinds fanbases - even though those easily are more degenerate than pretty much any actually large show. Large ones can be bad, but smaller, more insular and niche communities can be even worse.
