See, I've got a similar theory here. Miles has definitely proven to have his audience thanks to Spide-Verse and the ps4 game so a lot of writers already see him as the "next big thing" and I think what we're really seeing is a series of desperate attempts to leave their "marks" on the character. But they're hacks, so doing it by creating interesting characterization isn't possible so they keep tacking more and more powers on.

I don't know why Anon Babble hates him so much. The more he gets forced the more Marvel Comics dies, which is objectively a good thing.
