I just watched the first 2 episodes of murder drones and here are my immediate thoughts

The creator wanted to do multiple seasons that built up to a bunch of creepypasta Cthulhu fuckery, then realized he didn't have the patience to commit to multiple season so he crammed the bare minimum of the core plot beats into the remaining seven episodes. As a result, MD gets into the creepypasta Cthulhu fuckery immediately instead of building up to it.
This also explains why the pacing speeds way the fuck up after the first episode.

No you fucking retard. The Absolute Solver is teased and shows up in the Pilot at multiple times. At the very end of the pilot, you can see the Solver start to awaken on Uzi's visor with a bunch of messages.
There's a couple other blink-and-you'll miss it moments earlier in the Pilot too, but that's the main one hinting that something deeper is going on and it's all to do with "Absolute Solver".
The eye shows up suddenly on Episode 2 because Uzi has no idea what it is or what is up with her. If you actually watch through it you'll start to notice what's actually going on.

I don't know what all the above is about but I watched Murder Drones recently and enjoyed it
I was actually pretty relieved that it didn't turn out to be another "robots rising up against humans" story, to me that sort of things has gotten super stale over time and I appreciate the fresh twist
Also, the eldritch horror that turns out to be fucking everything up is really awesome (insert: cute) and it's a lot of fun
I checked out the rest of the creator's stuff in the meanwhile, I can definitely see the common theme regarding the monster girls lol

To be fair, robot uprising stories CAN still be done well. It's just that a lot of the time it's very repetitive. I'm also glad MD didn't turn out to be that. Funny, I only recently went back and noticed that Absolute Solver and Cyn are namedropped in the first episode.

The Absolute Solver doesn't really speak that much like GLaDOS - beyond the stilted female voice. I can see why you'd make the initial connection though. Apart from that they're really nothing alike.
GLaDOS speaks like an authoratative megalomaniacal AI, and later on she starts to sound much more human. For obvious ressons.
The Solver is an eldritch cyber-demon that speaks from the perspective of using its puppets and smashing its toys together. Completely inhuman speech pattern and talks like a spectator playing with action figures.
Though, imagining the two with swapped voices is really funny to me.
