Ultraman
Not to worry, a lobotomy will solve this Evil Superman dilemma!
Say Doc, wouldn't that mean YOU'RE an Evil Superman?
You even got a fortress of solitude!
Nobody reads my stuff anymore, Ham and Monk.
Ah.
Hero: is dead
:)
Maybe..Superman but Evil is the way of things, and Superman but good is the outlier?
Yep. Superman as a character defies the typical ending for "super-man" stories which usually end in the super-man killing himself, being exterminated by humanity, taking over the world, leaving Earth, or losing his powers. The first super-man story was arguably Frankenstein (Bizarro is a clear reference to him).
These days "Superman but evil" is extremely oversaturated that "Superman but good" is refreshing
whats truly refreshing is no superman at all
Hey! Legend was okay.
In fact, Siegel revisited the idea that a "superman" would be a dictator back in the early 60s.
actively removes illegal aliens
actively pushes normies towards becoming capable of defending the planet on their own
Literally worse than Lex Luthor.
Why doen't he remove himself then?
Lex...
actively removes illegal aliens
aliens
FUCK
YOU
Almost every Ultraman series I can think of where the hero is a full alien ends with them returning to their various home planets.
To add on to your thought, I like the idea of a "Superman but not a hero", as it he's just a guy who happens to be the strongest superhuman on the planet but he doesn't do anything with it. He doesn't go around in tights fight evil, nor does he uses his powers for selfish, destructive ambitions. He just keeps to himself and does his own thing, feeling no obligation to do good or evil.
Because they aren't truly there and aren't independent actors. They fuse with some local and then act as Tackles for the planetary defense force under the command of that local.
I'm a little sad that modern versions of Ultraman tend to forgoe the huge shoulder piece, it looks so SOVL.
Different kinds of jews, those were poorfags trying to get by.
under the command of that local.
That's dubious
I still want a Superman/Ultraman crossover in which the Earth-3 Ultraman merges with some evil Ultra and they become Ultraman Ultraman. Then Superman grows giant somehow so he and the OG Ultraman can properly team up to fight the merged threat.
Golden age wonder woman would be his best friend.
Superman....but le entertaining!
Well yes- Superman is a poorly written character with almost no real flaws to work with- making him evil is the only way to make him interesting without immense backlash from manbabies who want to protect the status quo and keep Superman as the idealistic great white hope he was from the 60s ignoring how much time has passed and society has changed
So yes Superman fans- we’re sorry that making him interesting bothers you so much- don’t worry we’ll stop and you can continue to complain how nobody writes him well or how he’s had zero good stories in the last 20 years
He is more of a Gohan.
Shut up fag
Shut the fuck up phoneposting retard
I think it is funny how they never met.
I got an old Superman thing in my YouTube recommendations and there was a part where he said, "Truth Justice and the American Way" and I just felt dead inside. Like before when I heard it I got all amped up. America stands for nothing anymore. No principles just power and might makes right. Sad times bros. Sad times :(
URUTORAMAN SEBAN
the most popular superhero of all time is not entertaining because I am an edgy retard
Why marvel has never made a morality-flipped universe?
I think Batman is plenty entertaining though?
