Thoughts on the 2001 TMNT pitch designs?

Before creating the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show, Mirage Studios pitched an idea to Warner Bros. for a new TMNT cartoon series that would have either aired on Kids WB! or Cartoon Network in 2001. Warner Bros. passed on the show, making way for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 series) on the Fox Box.

I prefer the turtles being shorter than April

This should've been what Red skies or TNM was.

Designs aren't nearly ass good as 4kids. And good thing this flopped, WB would have treated it like shit.

There was also a pitch for a CG show in 2001

Older April was the better call here

The turtle look very action figure

The human designs look really familiar. Like I've seen that style before

Bump

If it was made by a studio like Adelaide circa the late '90s or early 2000s, it would have looked great

what are some golden rules when doing turtle anatomy designs?

My only rule is avoid whatever the fuck Michael Bay produced version did

Aside from each turtle having their specific colored mask, I don't think any rules exist. They can't even stay consistent on whether the eyes should show their pupils or not.

I remember them being taller than April in 2003, guess not apparently
