When you argue someone is some tier of strong by chainscaling them beating another guy then proceed to ignore all the contexts behind them beating said guy (weapons, items, skills, strategies, opponent state of mind, ect). Somebody doesn’t just absorb the stats or abilities of someone they beat unless it’s specifically stated or shown that they have. That’s why characters need their own feats to demonstrate their power that are not them leeching off someone else.

1.) If you find accurately scaling these characters less fun, then simply don’t power scale.
2.) If power scaling has never been about portraying these characters accurately, then it’s actually worthless outside of pretending to be smart. At the very least, you should openly acknowledge that what you're saying is pure nonsense and fanfiction, and that no one should take it seriously.
3.) While it might be possible for a character to be stronger than how the story portrays them, that’s irrelevant because of the "death of the author" principle. A story and a character’s strength must stand on their own. If the writer wanted or cared for them to be seen as stronger, they should have written them that way. Kratos, for example, doesn’t even have that advantage, as there are conflicting "Word of God" statements that ground him much lower than what fans claim.
Just a few threads ago, someone said power-scaling is bad because Lex Luthor stabbing Superman with kryptonite would make him solar system level MFTL+, even when specific weaknesses have never been applied to accepted power-scaling.
