Would Guy have voted for Trump?

Would Guy have voted for Trump?

Reading his appearances in JLI, he seems like he'd be MAGA. I have a hard time believing that he'd be explicitly written that way today (to divisive) but in the 80's you could still write a conservative character as a normal hero and it wasn't seen as weird.

Guy is definitely the kind of person who would 100% believe the only people who would ever vote for a Democrat are troons and illegal Mexicans. While any "REAL" American would ever and always vote Republican without question.

Guy is from the 80s, so he'd know firsthand that Trump is a retarded con artist who bankrupts everything he touches.

Wait, so he'd just abstain then? Support an independent? Take a tour of service as a GL to not have to worry about voting?

He'd run for President himself as an independent candidate with the backing of the Guardians, because he knows he'd do a way better job than any of those other bozos in the race.

Guy literally has brain damage so yes

Guy was never a "normal" hero.

Guy votes red, not orange. He'd skip the elections altogether.

Tbh most heroes would at this point. The Dems are too embarrassingly retarded in their social views for me to believe most superheroes would support them

You would think that, but it certainly didn't stop boomers who witnessed it in the 80's to be all for him now.
Silent genners like Ditko were somehow more cognizant of him being all talk more than Gen Xers or Boomers. Then again Steranko went all in

Wally West would probably secretly slip in his vote, as he can't get away with being a midwestern conservative like he did before.
If the Team Titans were still existing, Killowat would be decked out in Proud Boys gear and support DOGE and risk ruining the more liberal members' image so he could be buddy with the president and Musk.

I mean he's on of two choices and is just the lesser evil. Thinking the democrats aren't also conmen is a huge reason you guys lost

He'd find an excuse to be as far from Earth during election season as sector 2815 goes.

He'd probably just vote Trump

How did that “cheaper eggs on day 1” thing work out for you?

You could also just not vote.

Well I'm not online 24/7 and slight economic turbulence doesn't send me into hysterics so fine actually

was this supposed to make you seem not retarded

Yeah totally he would just vote for Trump though. The whole

He'd fly away and away and not come back until it was over

is Anon Babblemblr cope.

He'd vote for Trump due to him also being a brash, loud-mouthed jerk, but attempt to keep that decision hidden so he doesnt upset Ice, only to accidentally reveal it while arguing with Ted and Michael.

He's one of two choices and less evil than Dems. It's not hard to understand, buddy

i don't think doubling down on being a fucking idiot is helping your position

The guy with 34 felony convictions is the wrong choice if you’re going off morals and ethics

Tbh most heroes would at this point

You lost me here. DC heroes are mostly the most democratic aligned beings ever because they hold a tolerant leftist view on order and structure.

A libby accusing someone else of doubling down

There's that trademark projection that lost you guys the election

Are you saying Trump is less evil because he doesn't lie about being a narcissistic sociopath whereas the democrats try to hide their inhumanity?

No I'm pointing out a basic truth about elections. Simmer down on your guy's crazy social views and maybe game show host won't beat you

Yes and the modern left is comically intolerant

You lack reading comprehension if you're still acting like I'm a democrat. Your complete inability to engage with me seriously is tiresome.
Here's a funny Trump reference in an old Batman comic

Guy? Yeah totally he'd be for Trump.
Ditko probably abstained or went for a third party though.

Your political leanings have no bearing on Trump's victory being due to gross incompetence on the Dems part. Don't like Trump? Be more appealing to voters than

He'd vote for Trump but wouldn't be a Maga diehard. I think Trump said something about disabled kids that would have pissed Guy off.

too embarrassingly retarded in their social views

I can't imagine most heroes reeeing about troons or illegal immigrants. Maybe the later, but not something they'd go out of their way unless it's dealing with human trafficking or drug dealing, and in that case it's more for those issues than whether they're illegal or not. Voting for tighter border security, sure I could see that, but the troon issue, nah I can't see most heroes being against them. They know aliens with fuck knows how many genders and orientations.
Superheroes in general revolve more around violent crime than more complex social issues.

Well the troon thing IS an issue though because it's becoming so normalized. Pretty sure heroes think about future scenarios and how modern day ideals that seem good can lead to bad stuff down the line. The aliens argument has fuck all to do with whether or not humans can transition gender

Superheroes in general revolve more around violent crime than more complex social issues

This is more of my mindset anyway but it's fun to speculate while shit posting

Superman is literally an illegal alien, so he is the least likely to be pro trump.

That's not how the law works. He's a refugee and as depicted by Siegel and Shuster, everything was done completely above-board and legal.

Pretty surprising take from an Objectivst, then again the root of Objectivism always came from Ayn Rand being mad about Russia

politics

Superpowers should be used to force governments to stop interfering with the rights of the people and put their own people before foreigners and big business, 'left' vs 'right' is irrelevant nonsense.

Wouldn't dismantling the Department of Education would be seen as a red flag to Guy since they're the ones who actively help disabled kids get an education?

Depends on what Guy would think about an organization's mission statement versus its actual outcomes.

Well the troon thing IS an issue though because it's becoming so normalized.

Bug again, I don't see them as having an issue with it being normalized. Why would most of them care? They care more about immediate violent crimes than social issues most of the time

Ditko viewed objectivism more as a framework for his Aristotle inspired beliefs than being 100% for it, according to his nephew he sort of drifted from it later in life and went back more to Aristotelianism
