That image was made before Zuke even worked on the show. In fact it dates the image to a really specific time where both SU was popular enough for the artist to feel like including Lapis made sense, and before Lapis' character got hijacked.

IIRC it was right after season 1 finished airing, so her perception was "the sad girl that just went crazy" which created a lot of edgy Lapis memes. The image basically could not have been made out of 2015 - 2016.
