I'm glad this shit was never picked up, it's already bad enough dealing with fans of those aforementioned cancertoons, but this would have just been another annoying notch in Adult Swim's subpar offerings. This is the kind of joke I'd expect if the show had been picked up:

Could have worked with less "humour" and more adventure. Korgoth was a shit main character and the jokes are awful but the setting is quite interesting even if it has been done a thousand times

They infused it with humour BECAUSE the premise and setting has been done a thousand times before. Also Aaron Springer is a comedy cartoonist first and foremost. He was never gonna attempt a straightforward action-drama.

That's fine but they only have two jokes, puke/fart and gore/everybody screams. It gets old pretty fast on the pilot, imagine a whole season of this.

My guess is after a decade of working in children's cartoons, Aaron Springer got TOO excited when given the opportunity to write an adult animated comedy and felt a need to overcompensate with gross-out jokes. I don't excuse such a tired comedic approach, but I think that context helps.

While Legend of Vox Machina has its fair share of raunchy asides and subversions, it knows when to commit to an emotional moment or a perilous sequence with high stakes. Decent adventure cartoon all things considered.

People are fucking terrified of just being themselves to the degree that even in internet situations where everyone's anonymous and nobody will ever know who you are they still feel the need to defend their egos. What's funny is that this is a huge part of the reason that media has gone to shit nowadays but it's better to bitch about that than talk about what you'd actually like to see because uh-oh, that might get you judged!
