I was born in 1996, I used to watch the rugrat in paris movie on vhs back when it came out. Back then, If you didn't have cable you just collected stacks of VHS tapes, i would just watch those on loop all day with my sister as a 4 year old.

from about 11 to i want to say 19 we basically hung out every day in his basement just playing vidya and shooting the shit since we lived 5 minutes away from each other. 19 he got more serious about having a full time job and dating, etc, and he knew i didn't care for dating or a social life beyond what we had period. every year after that we just drifted further and further apart until he got married like 5 years ago i think. we're both almost 33 now. i just prioritized being single and childfree and he wanted to have the typical adult life with a house/wife/kid. i don't really resent him but i will always look back on those years growing up with fondness. i would have just shared a house with him as a roommate forever if he wanted to but i guess he had those parental and family man urges i never had.

Not only do I not share his interest in family creation I do not get why a great friend not doing it too would cause him to lose interest.
