It's weird how the parents on Rugrats still come off as "old" when I'm technically older than they are now.

I haven't watched Rugrats in eons, but I remember really enjoying the humor of the adults.
We just had dolls!
Well, you had a doll, I had a monkey.
What's the average age of Anon Babble. I've been seeing a lot of 30+ year olds, but I always assumed the average age was early 20s.
Mommy can we go to the amusement park?
No sweetie, I have important business at work... What? No I wasn't talking to you Jonathan, I wouldn't call one of my Employees sweetie, not since the Clarence Thomas Hearings.
I'm 26.
This episode was so stupid.
i'll be 33 in a few months. Anon Babble doesn't really have any appeal for young people because you can't get updoots here and you can't amass a following. in an age where everyone wants to become an eceleb or grifter/influencer, Anon Babble is the direct opposite of that.
damn they aged like shit
I always found it funny how people on zoomer social media sites treat Anon Babble like it's this evil darkweb shit, when I see far more hateful and extreme things on Twitter than I've seen on Anon Babble in the last 10 years.
25 here. I prefer this site because I hate everything else for reasons mentioned and I find Anon Babble oddly more peaceful.
Anon Babble has always struck me as being one of the older boards because of the amount of threads that are just autists hyperfixating on stuff made decades ago
Generally Anon Babble's more personable until politics get involved, then it can get pretty insufferable.
everywhere else not slow and dead talks about politics and culture war garbage just as much or more. can't win really.
32 here, I think a lot of the site is roughly this age or a bit older because of how many threads you see shitting on Gen Z. I really personally couldn't care less about generational bullshit but yeah.
im 24 but i've been on and off Anon Babble for almost a decade
Well, to be fair, you probably have more in common with the babies.
25
peaceful
yeah. i think anonymity makes everyone equal in a sense which helps a lot.
lol
can't win really.
You really can't. I could segue, but the subject is best left avoided. Every once in a while I get drawn into those discussions and every time hind sight reveals it a bad idea.
just turned 27 here, younger zoomers just dont like cartoons
You the fellow who drew himself and his gay friends in the pool the other day?
Same
That’s because adults now aka you and I, are not like the adults of yester year. Times have changed so these were the adults when you were young so you still see them as older. The current adults being your age you see as the same dumb kids we were back in middle school.
AW SHIT NO WAY I JUST WATCHED THAT EPISODE LMAO
For me it's Drew doing Stu's taxes.
Having kids matures a person real quick. Probably a major part of why everyone acts so young these days is not having kids until late in life (and not having younger siblings growing up)
36, 37 in a few months.
Having kids matures a person real quick.
lol
lmao even
that entirely depends on the parent. countless lazy, immature, idiotic parents who don't change at all after having kids. they think all they need to do is work and feed their kids and don't have to teach them anything at all. anyone with actual decent parents who taught them fuckall about fuckall basically won the lottery, parents like that aren't the norm.
They all look like they are in their 50's save for Phil and Lil's mom, though she still looks like at least a decade older than 32.
I'm just old enough to have seen Rugrats at its peak but too young to recall many distinct moments outside of the film trilogy. Not too familiar with the series proper. I'm twenty-six.
it seemed like that to me when they were still taling about ATLA, MLAATR, Teen Titans, etc like in 2015, nowadays is even more evident.
Going on 32 here.
I'm 35. I came here in 2007. I used to hang out with drawfags until they bullied me for using the n word in Skype. Jokes on them, I learned to accept my hate and only got worse. They also trooned out my crush and college was gay so it was a lot of factors that made me Hitler's Top Guy. Now I make funny greentexts and make jannie earn his pay. I hope I have private messages where jannies talk about my insidious nature, but it's fine if they don't know who I am too.
Turning 20 in a few months.
the women were in their 30s when they had the kids
i did not know that
figured they’d be younger
our perception of how "old" someone is comes from their fit, most people keep wearing what they used to wear till the grave
what we consider young today will be what next generations see as old and boring.
You've at least had sex anon, right?
37 years old, I am too crusty to go anywhere else.
its really the artstyle more than anything. They don't look like actual people, and are frankly pretty repulsive.
22, as you can see I'm obviously a mentally stunted individual, but I won't be alone in that department.
grim
By crush, your certainly mean ex-gf right? Not someone who you barely interacted with and seethed at from afar?
the 80's/90's were a time when a lot of people started having children slightly older than the last few generations. this starts getting reflected in media with a few shows and movies about 30-somethings raising kids or only recently starting a family. That's what Rugrats was likely going for, since the adults all being then-modern parents was part of the show.
I'm as old as Phil
