the Simpsons reached their 200th episode milestone with a crappy jerkass Homer plot
Simpsons declined in quality faster than I thought.

How was he a jerk for wanting the garbage men to do their job?
Bob's Burgers reached its 200th episode milestone with a crappy 'the kids fucked everything up' plot
How was he a jerk for wanting the garbage men to do their job?
For adding more to their job than he was able to pay them to do.
Their milestones episodes are always ass.
This show has something near 300 episodes now and I honestly only remember the plots to about maybe 20 and I have seen them all.
Rick and Morty's 69th episode features actual 69ing
The episode itself honestly got way more hate than is deserved
It's honestly kind of shocking whenever you look back and realize it. The ratio to good to bad episodes only ever shrunk and it's amazing just how long the bad seasons lasted for.
No, it got about what it deserved I think. R&M isn't witty enough for these kind of episodes.
simpsons didn't get bad until after the movie.
if you think otherwise you try way too hard to be a critic.
For me The Simpsons didn't exactly "become unwatchable," but it grew too boring to keep up with after Season 22 or so specifically. I've been meaning to watch this latest season that just finished, though. Just out of curiosity.
Steve Martin's character saves it imo
If I hadn't already packed my letter opener I'd give you SUCH a stabbing
You know, I'm not much on speeches, but it's so gratifying to leave wallowing in the mess you made, you're screwed. Thank you, bye. *band plays Sanford and Son theme*
BB went to shit way before even their 100th episode.
Bob's Burgers definitely peaked during its first 5 seasons, but I'd say it still held up for another couple years. Season 11 was the true marking of the show overstaying its welcome.
near 300 episodes now
please say sike, I still remember when American Dad hit that milestone...
New episode of Bobs Burgers tomorrow and it's a kids episode
Futurama still hasn't reached the 200 episode even with the Hulu revival
I secretly hope it isn't given the chance to...
Sounds like you have an undiagnosed brain condition. Better get it check bro.
Appropriate thread. AD just had its 400th episode table read today
American Dad actually tries to make something memorable with their milestone episodes so this is good news.
By blaming them for his ineptitude.
Homer looks so handsome in his pearly white suit
rogu
what did therealjims think about it
congrats to them
Teen Titans Go's 400th episode had them bragging about being the longest running DC cartoon at the end to shit on people who didn't like it again.
What's Anita got there?
Despite what people might say about "Homer's Enemy" or "The principal and the pauper" I don't anyone just had one episode that made them throw their hands up and be done with it. It was all just sort of gradual. Episodes kept getting worse and worse and you make less effort to catch them and eventually you just sort of "forget."
I think you're right for most people, though I do remember having a last straw episode that just made me realize I didn't want to watch the show anymore. I'd started noticing the decline in quality around season 9 but I mostly stuck with the show even if I didn't watch every episode anymore, but Kill the Alligator and Run was the one that made me stop watching. I don't even think it was the worst episode of that season but something about that episode just made me feel like they just weren't trying anymore.
I don't know that bobs burgers has ever made me laugh out loud. His character in home movies made me laugh, even the corner store character in family guy made me laugh. Archer never made me laugh. He isn't terrible but I think his own endeavors as lead character suck ass.
Why are they so toxic?
Picture my booty up in 3D
790 episodes, Anon. They're about to hit 800 (and I'm sure it will be ass.) If Disney keeps fucking up though maybe they'll get sold to a better network in time for 1,000.
11 minute shows should have to count every two episodes as 1 when comparing to 22 minute shows but 210 is still impressive for a shit show.
AD still has an audience?
I agree. As a kid I originally made it about 2/3 of the way through season 20 before I finally just stopped putting in so much effort to watch it. I don't think it was a concious decision, I just got caught up in other shows and started putting that one off "for later" until I forgot about it. Then it got to the point where it had been so long and I was so out of touch with it that I didn't care to catch the new episodes and it was too much effort to catch up. Maybe one day I'll do a watch through of the whole thing just to be able to say I did. Otherwise I'll definitely watch up to where I fell off just for old time's sake.
This is the first truly bad Simpsons episode.
I'm as surprised as you are. It's always felt like American Dad falls under the radar, yet somehow there is still an audience ready to support it even now.
Dadders are probably the most dedicated fanbase out of these shows
This was a excellent episode with a excellent song, seek help.
