Ironheart: Negative Test Screenings and Disney Drama

Reports from people working behind the scenes say Ironheart is "The worst thing Marvel Studios has ever produced"

Disney is having frequent emergency meetings behind the scenes to lessen the blow

Entire marketing department responsible for the trailer (same with The Marvels) has been fired, both as a scapegoat and to drastically cut back on marketing costs

Bob Iger is concerned about how this negative reaction could sour future projects such as Fantastic Four's opening weekend, overall audience faith in the MCU going into Secret Wars/Doomsday, and how this will impact his exit in 2026

3 test screenings, each more negative than the last as Marvel Studios is desperately trying to salvage the project in the editing room

Actress Dominque Thorne allegedly frequently butting heads with Disney bosses as apparently Ironheart will be cut from future projects almost entirely

There have been 3 endings shot, frequently being reworked and re-edited together to appease early viewers to no avail. Kevin Fiege allegedly frustrated that a teased mystery villain has been cut entirely

Notable moments early audiences hated the most included Riri addressing the antagonist (Hood) with her pronouns before fighting, badmouthing Tony Stark's legacy while watching old interviews, and a speech to Hood stating quote "I am not Tony Stark, I am not Iron Man, I am everything he failed to become"

Show will debut with 3 episodes immediately, the remaining 3 released weekly following. Disney is dumping half the show out in an effort to move on as quickly as possible.

The current series ending is Riri in a completely new upgraded suit she's developed, flying to a club for a big party. Riri break dances in her new suit and raps to the crowd. The (now cut) mystery bad guy would have been observing from outside through a window

I fucked Ted.

Nice fanfic.

We've had entire plot leaks before, this is hardly far-fetched, especially since we're a few weeks away from it airing

this is hardly far-fetched

Yes, it is. You're either being disingenuous or pathetically gullible.

And why is it far-fetched? Granted the OP could be bullshit, but I keep an open mind around here considering all the shit we hear early. Consistently too

Not op but I'm tbe lady that plays black iron man and I can confirm all of this is true

And why is it far-fetched?

Notable moments early audiences hated the most included Riri addressing the antagonist (Hood) with her pronouns before fighting, badmouthing Tony Stark's legacy while watching old interviews, and a speech to Hood stating quote "I am not Tony Stark, I am not Iron Man, I am everything he failed to become"

>The current series ending is Riri in a completely new upgraded suit she's developed, flying to a club for a big party. Riri break dances in her new suit and raps to the crowd.

Think, anon. Think.

That didn't answer my question. You just repeated what the OP posted and implied that it was unreasonable without any argument as to why. This is also the same company that had She-Hulk end with a cop-out and a meta humor AI robot, not to mention projects like The Acolyte. How is this not outside the realm of possibility?

I don't understand why they even tried to make this nothing character a thing. No one liked it's comics and no one will enjoy a show about it.

Your a Disney fag

>Entire marketing department responsible for the trailer (same with The Marvels) has been fired, both as a scapegoat and to drastically cut back on marketing costs

The trailer genuinely wasn't particularly bad outside of the stupid "iconic" line.

badmouthing Tony Stark's legacy while watching old interviews, and a speech to Hood stating quote "I am not Tony Stark, I am not Iron Man, I am everything he failed to become"

There is no fucking universe where the writers are this mother fucking psychotic.
It's unfathomably incomprehensible.

Tony saved trillions upon trillions of lives.
This bitch couldn't match him in 50,000 lifetimes.

It's a dual case of a "time capsule" phase both Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios have gone through, the latter just now catching up. Riri didn't sell during the Marvel NOW! comic era, and was regulated to Champions stuff. But most of that has kinda fizzled out. Even Kamala is sort of settling, needing X-Men to keep her relevant. So Marvel Studios in a post Endgame situation desperate for content started pulling from the books, thinking cancel culture and politics was enough to make a profit. Only just recently are companies realizing this shit doesn't make money, but they're too invested just to pull the plug

Anon for the past decade at least, I've read the entire plot of every MCU movie or show on this board weeks before release. The leaks are rarely wrong.

The trailer genuinely wasn't particularly bad outside of the stupid "iconic" line.

There was that one trailer shown exclusively at a con last year that was way worse that was never published online. Could have been that one. The one we got a few weeks ago reeks of them trying to clean up that first impression, hoping the leak didn't spread too far

There is no fucking universe where the writers are this mother fucking psychotic.

It's unfathomably incomprehensible.

So you've failed to notice the broad strokes of media trends for the past decade, then? There's a backlash against this kind of trash in progress, but the show was a good deal of the way through development before that backlash was really in full swing.
Think of the numerous recent nine-figure-budget disastrous flop video games with soul-cringing levels of commodified corporate "woke" that studio execs were absolutely CONVINCED would be their cash cows. The dev cycles on these things are long enough that the cultural rug got pulled out from under them when general audiences realized this shit sucks.

Keep in mind Ironheart has been collecting dust on the shelf for like 3 years too. Not sure if COVID and other low performances factored in at all. Wonder if Ironheart is the reason why Ryan Coogler bolted from Disney, took his proto Blade script, and flipped it into Sinners?

apparently Ironheart will be cut from future projects almost entirely

almost

retards

Even slop sucking Disney fans said she was a detriment to Wakanda Forever, dunno why they went forward with this.

Riri break dances in her new suit and raps to the crowd

no fucking way

Dont bother anon, this board is crawling with disingenuous shills who will twist what you say. Logic wont work on them because they are not creatures of logic. Call him a fag and move on.

"I am not Tony Stark, I am not Iron Man, I am everything he failed to become"

This has more twist villain aura than anything that Disney can currently produce, don't lie.

"Something...ICONIC."

It's totally in-line with what we saw from the trailer.

pulling from the newer shittier Marvel comics

FTFY.

We all know it was Kang.

Wakanda Forever was a detriment in and of itself.

They only thing they had to do was create a cool suit. They failed. That thing is horrible and unappealing.

They've dialed back a lot

Would be cool line for Downey's Doom actually

I unironically believe that both woketards and fascists would get everyone on the planet killed rather than admit defeat.

Stark Invented time travel and nano tech

Iron Nigga going back to Iron Man 1 tech

I didn't watch Nigga and the Buck Broken Solder, why did this one not get Wakanda nano tech?

Sam is like their only exception. Steve gave his blessing, and Wakanda doesn't want Sam killed given his lack of super soldier abilities. If memory serves, they took Riri's suit because she's young and others could exploit the tech

Sad part is that I don't think there are fascist anymore, just normal people tired of being told they are bad by people that keep doing worse shit.

You do know we've had shit like this, even more ridiculous shit in MCU, right? Not even "when it was good."

that a teased mystery villain has been cut entirely

this is a good thing though, i'm tired of sequelbait
man fuck feige

Too little too late. They already pole vaulted straight into modern legacy shit by retiring their heavy hitters

The character no one likes is failing with test audiences? How unheard of.

Have they now? That's funny, I could have sworn a new season of Hawkeye just came up.

the new captain america just came out with sam as cap and ross as red hulk
they dialed back nothing

Why they can't even cast an attractive negress for the role?

Sad part

Kill yourself faggot.

What mental illness provoked them to speed run the DEI '10s characters that no one ever liked?

If I were them, I wouldn't sweat this show too much. It's going to be the next Echo or Ms. Marvel - shit no one's going to watch.

You do know we've had shit like this, even more ridiculous shit in MCU, right?

post it

it was made it in 2021 and has been shelved for 3 years, they thought this diversity is our strength train was going to last the decade

There is no fucking universe where the writers are this mother fucking psychotic.

Being psychotic is the meaning of life. It is humanity's destiny to descend into pure insanity and spite.

...shit, you're right.

I unironically believe that both woketards and fascists would get everyone on the planet killed rather than admit defeat.

Give omnicide a chance!

Source it fag

Riri break dances in her new suit and raps to the crowd.

Most believable part.

Diversity hire

What Tony Stark failed to become?

Hated?

So far, anyway.
