What are some good "fishbowl helmet" sci-fi comics?

Flash Gordon

probably anything scifi related before 1965

Fear Agent is an earnest, if not totally successful, attempt at modernizing this era of the genre.

This is more of a spoof, but still...

Terms that might help when searching for this genre of storytelling:
Atom Punk
Raygun Gothic
Retro Futurist (Retro Futurism)

Seconding Fear Agent, the ending is a real gut punch.

That's actually by Frank Miller.

huh

Is this AI?

NTA, but no. The photo was posted as part of a photo series on a blog and dates back at least to 2013.

Has it really been almost a month since I last posted? I promise you, dear readers, that I have not abandoned this blog intentionally! It seems that lately my schedule is jam-packed with things to do, and as I am now the official bass player for the Heymakers, I suspect that I will be staying quite busy.

But anyway, enough of my rambling excuses ;-)

I thought perhaps you might enjoy a few still photos from the Space Rangers scene we shot this past weekend. This time I wore another costume consisting of a fabulously shiny silver catsuit and lipstick red armor. The armor is an original design made by the amazingly talented Roxy Almblade--didn't she do a fantastic job?

Amanda Lee

Don't think so.

Shame about the movie

eh, at least it looked beautiful, too bad about the rest
remember when the lead actor was shitposting on Anon Babble? He sounded like the biggest faggot in the planet

Fish in a bowl lookin ass.

Old enough to wear the globe, old enough to take a load.

I really miss that chunk of time when in the late 00s early 10s when it was popular to do the retro pinup thing. It's much more rare now, and girls tend to use the scant few classy photos they take to try to push you towards their onlyfans or patreon. This model's blog has tons of photoshoots that she just posted for free. Imagine a time when people had hobbies that they didn't need to monetize.

Weird Science
Weird Fantasy
Mystery In Space
Strange Adventures
Tales Of The Unexpected
Space Family Robinson/Lost In Space
Space Adventures
Space War

Forgot to mention Tommy Tomorrow, which ran as a backup in Action and World's Finest, and briefly featured in Showcase.

so stuff from the 50's and 60's basically

Atom punk has a lot of possibilities. I’d love to see someone tackle a retro futurist comic or cartoon in earnest. Do a real space adventure in that style and actually take it seriously.

Dan Dare

Rise and Fall of the Trigan Empire

>Dan Dare

Obviously not many Brits on Anon Babble if it took this long for someone to mention this.

I read this and would recommend

I think even if you're a younger comic book fan from the UK, I kinda doubt you hear much talk about Dan Dare He was only really culturally relevant in the 50s through to the 60s at most.
