That's because he's getting consistently sandbagged by people that don't know how to yes-and a joke most of the time. The other hosts have gotten better at this with time but they lack the energy OP is known for. DingDong and Julian were good for this because they were able to keep a joke or conversation flowing through the doldrums, and Zach is the opposite where he injects a low-energy situation with energy.
Feels like Adam is aware people don't care for him much, as he's brought it up a few times, and Cory is a lot better than he used to be, stepping on jokes and demanding everyone stop and listen to his boring stories. Not perfect but they all definitely feel like they're trying not to be the channel's weak link.

chris's soul died when ding dong and julian left. he has never sounded as lively or happy since they permanently left. they absolutely were the best trio the channel ever had with the best chemistry i don't care what anyone says. unfortunately ding dong is severely mentally ill and refuses to do any sort of introspection.

and oh man is he getting worse. There was a recent-ish stream where he stayed up whining about Trump and rightoids for like 8 straight hours. I remember going to bed and thinking I must have some kind of caching bug to see his stream still up. He seems to be falling down a rabbit hole based off of previous experiences and scheister news sources exasperating his anxiety. Once again, the greatest wisdom when it comes to politics is "don't pay attention to it unless you know exactly what's going on"

No. He just streams now because of burnout/health problems/making cartoons pay like peanuts. You get paid way more for way less effort to do streams. I love the guy. I love his work. And my ultimate wet dream would be for him to bring Yotam on once a month, and it would be like Wisenheimers. I miss that podcast like you wouldn't believe. I wonder if I paid Max 1000 dollars once, would he be willing to have Yotam on monthly. It would be so worth it, the chemistry they had was so good and unique I have listened to every episode of the old podcast at least 10 times.

I get he has his health problem but were the brain dumps really that intensive compared to his other works? His model’s animations were so still and choppy, and he often used a ton of clips from other media, and maybe an original 3 second cartoon loop. Just cut out goofball and they’d be easier to make.

He just got less and less funny over time, people obviously tuned him out, and his art style started to get less charming. To me, he’s a shining example of an artist stagnating hard.

I'm enjoying the Sonic Unleashed series so far but I'll agree with you that 2024 was probably their weakest year. That, and Adam is the most annoying member they've ever had on besides that one ugly gorilla they shilled for a few months back in 2021. I used to hate Corey a lot but he really grew on me over the years, I don't feel that way with Adam at all.
