nice to know I was right about the coiny/pin thing. I originally thought that the whole betrayal thing was ultimately going to lead to nothing since people were overanalyzing the fact that it was intended to act as the drama point for BFDIA 18 instead of this big thing. It does raise some questions as to how Pin acts in future episodes, but considering the reactions to BFDIA shit in BFB/TPOT are kind of mild, I don't think it's entirely necessary.

As for Fries, yes, that sucks absolute dick, but remember that there's nothing inherently stopping the JNJ crew from just lying about the votes. Now that he's gone every potential winner will be boring as fuck so it ultimately doesn't matter who wins.

Pacing is good, assuming they're saving some of the good shit for the 2nd part, maybe something to do with a Leafy confrontation with Pin, i'm not sure.

It's important to remember that BFDI was at it's peak during Season 2 pre-hiatus since it essentially acted as a sub-popular webseries where basically anybody could pop in and check it out, this was before the adpocalypse and monetization went so apeshit that the Huangs were forced to cancel it. Ever since BFB released fandom culture basically took over the show and every episode post-2019 has been a direct result of Youtube's policies and what it favors for the sake of the algorithm. Every decision that's been made pertaining to the show has been for the sake of appeasing the platform, so if you're still here purely to root for a particular winner, don't feel that bad. There's a reason why JNJ makes really weird decisions and why this community is like 70% troon now.

Wow what an episode that one was, looks like they either went too ambitious with the challenge they opted for making it a two-parter for later on or probably something with the BFDI and II expo coming later taking up some of the schedule.
Either way, damn, I didn't expect the outcome for the votes, guess TB's still in! While Fries is fun and people appreciated his presence enough, at some point the people who dislike him may take over.
It was fun to see everyone regard and talk about their past actions, Coiny respecting and being too much of a goof friend to let the competition get a hold of him when it's mostly for fun on his side.
The writers really want book out but she's too much of a sympathy magnet she may as well make it to the finals and NOT win anyways.
The Cake at Stake song and visuals were done way too neat for it's own good, it's probably going to be used for the rest of the series? Ian Woodsie is making an amazing job at this song creation for the OSC shows.
Leafy being back and actually talking to the contestants was a neat surprise instead of the usual "just appears at end of episode to set up for something", that finally came to be, it's really fucked up seeing he become like this, but she sort of deserves a bit of punishment for stealing dream island and all.
The challenge was fun too! Props to the backgrounds and unique setting they did, don't know how to describe it but it's like they were pastel neons, visually appealing and vibrant but not too much of a color eyesore either.
Since needle won at least now, I have a feeling she won't for the next part despite her huge advantage, but voters will most likely get her to be on the higher likes or at least the least lowest dislikes for partially winning, then again fumbling with a massive advantage may make that the opposite and get her eliminated if she does poorly...

My idea for a host is Foldy or Liy. They technically appeared in BFDIA as recommended characters so they're valid. This could serve to explain their appearance in BFB too! (as well as Stapy and Loser, but they haven't canonically appeared yet).

With Season 1 they probably didn't suspect that it would become as big of a thing as it ended up being, probably why they chose to write Teardrop off.

Only thing you really need as a prime example of how much of a corporate slopheap this show has become is to look at BFB 17 - 30, showcases perfectly how it impacts the voting.

except not only was it still small back then, the in-universe explanation makes no sense. the final vote to save snowball (which also broke a tie between him and td) was from pencil, who doesn't even like him (and no him winning a measly 2 challenges isn't a good reason when he was the sole reason his team lost the episode prior). that also still doesn't explain why they allowed derpy/adam to get many voters to vote off teardrop despite knowing it was him doing it

90% sure that most of the episode was written and parts were animated already, the host of the challenges usually doesn't appear that much, so most likely just those days to slap whoever wins in it, or just going to be the host Next episode.

They made it a two-parter to fill for the amount of episodes BFDIA will cap at. If this is the final 5, BFDIA ends at exactly 23 episodes.

Don't get me wrong, Fries was literally the only person that deserved to win, but there isn't really a point in coping if the second part comes out and nothing changes. It's possible that the second part is already written out if it releases sometime after May 12 and before the end of May.
