i can somewhat admire the utilitarianism, but there's still two problems, the fact that bike-stealing fags are out there to begin with, and that you should not have bought a bike to begin with if you really don't give a shit some pos took it.

You're missing the point. It's infamous not because it merely conveys they idea of not worrying about such a trivial theft, but rather because the logic is flawed. Acting "chill" as you say is fine, but he's doing it for a dumb reason here; thinking the happiness in the world increases because a bike thief successfully robbed him. We all might as well just lower ourselves and take whatever we want from whomever we want everyday by that logic because others should simply deal with it every time. That's why he and his comic are colloquially known as "Bike Cuck". Having a positive attitude about such a thing is fine, but overreacting as unrealistically as he thinks is sufficient; even if it looks positive, is counterintuitive to....well how a society operates
