If I had a nickel for every time I'd seen webcomics made much worse by late-2000s lolrandom humor-inspired characters that never change despite the comic itself going on for over a decade I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's strange that it's happened twice.

It just dawned on me how weird it is that there were actual talking pets (one of which could land Taeshi in trouble with Nintendo). It's just so bizarre to me that Taeshi expected us to take any of this seriously, I mean she eventually realized it and had to euthanize them but still. An animated adaptation of this would not work at all.
