I blinked and now Bob’s Burgers has nearly 20 seasons.
I don't know why they let go of American Dad to begin with
fuckin hell
No The Great North as part of the PR
Northbros....
Doing 15 episodes — which is still considered a full season by current broadcast standards — will give Fox room on the schedule for its owned animated series like Krapopolis and Grimsburg.
Why FOX is so desperate that we like those two?
But what about The Great North? It's on its fifth season, and with American Dad coming back to the Sunday schedule what will that mean for it?
RIP in piss
Great North actually does numbers on Hulu (no idea why since it sucks) so if Fox has no more room for it, I'm 99% sure Disney will pick it up as a Hulu original
which the network makes money off by selling them internationally and exploiting their libraries on streaming, something it is currently doing by licensing the two shows to Netflix.
Did you stop reading mid-sentence or something?
Great North actually does numbers on Hulu
No way is that true.
Either way, American Dad is definitely kicking at least one of the newer FOX cartoons off the roster
I watched Family Guy for the first time in a few years, and holy fuck did the quality drop. It's very close to zombie simpsons levels of sheer unfunniness, reliance on callbacks, and TDS.

Don't speak about my wife Honey like that
15 episodes a season
Damn, even big shows on major networks are cutting back
Bob's Burgers season 19
Family Guy season 27
Simpsons season 40
And somehow no one has any issue with this
Is Great North dead?
They were revamping Sundays to have live action, giving us such gems as Sons of Tucson, Last Man on Earth, and...uh....
Why FOX is so desperate that we like those two?
Because Fox actually owns them. They're only borrowing Simpsons and Seth's shows.
Everyone forgets Mulaney had his own sitcom.
Good. He's a great writer, but that show just...no.
Is Tina still considered the face of the franchise? I remember that being true a decade ago, but I wasn't sure it still applied nowadays
Remember when we thought Bob's would end with Season 10 and the movie?
Where are we even going now with this?
Bobs Burgers The Movie 2
Are we gonna see another Fischoeder trying to steal the Wharf to sell it?
American Dad needs to be canceled. It's going to become worse and a zombie show, which already fucking is to be true.
And over reliance on shitty recurring characters that just appear to give the voice actors their paycheck. It's happening to American Dad as well.
4 MORE SEASONS
Hey now, Son of Zorn was certainly...ummm....
Nope, nevermind.
Son of Zorn at least had a good concept; cartoon in a live action world would make a good show if done right, probably would be shit expensive though
Nah, that show sucked, we won't miss it once American Dad finally returns to get its spot back on the sunday lineup if it means kicking TGN to the curb.
The only thing I'll miss about The Great North is Judy. Everything else can go die in a fire.
Wolf get to clap those cheeks every night.
Shocking that Bob's Burgers was the last time FOX made a hit that lasted for more than 3 seasons.
I feel like all they need to do is greenlight a cartoon that has an appealing art style and doesn't feel like a ripoff of what they currently have.
Yeah, true. This and the fact that the actors from this show are now old.
at an episode a day you'd have five years of the shows
with this kind of production numbers has anyone made a slice of life show where every episode covers one day?
move Family Guy to Wednesdays for one season
move it back to Sundays with a different timeslot
premiere season with two streaming-exclusive holiday specials
new season is only 9 episodes long
now this
What is going on over there?
Disney Guy is just dogshit right now.
Like these last few seasons the plots literally go nowhere for 17 minutes and just wrap up just before the credits hit.
implying this has only been a problem with FG since Disney bought Fox
I know, it's so obvious that nobody cares anymore. But people keep watching, so.
Bobs Burgers is the only 1 of those 4 shows that feels like it still has its soul. The other 3 are dead on arrival.
They either can't or don't know how to juggle all their shows at once.
They have their three "Fox original" shows Grimsburg, Great North, Krapopolis and Universal Basic Guys. Then they have the OGs Simpsons, Family guy, Bob's burgers and now returning to the fight pit, American Dad. The crux of the problem is too many shows, not enough time slots, so either a few shows gets canceled soon or we're going to get weird show line ups throughout the year.
Honestly it'll be interesting to see how either the "Fox original" improve on their writing to be on par with the OG heavy hitters or if they just cease to exist.
BRING BACK DUNCANVILLE AND HOUSEBROKEN!!!
Doing 15 episodes — which is still considered a full season by current broadcast standards
big oh oh
Seriously 15 episodes season are now a standard?
Back in the day a full season was 23-26 episodes.
Every fucking time with these annoying shows.
but hard working people, so many employeed that need the job...
shut the fuck up. Retards tried to pull this shit with Velma of all things so I'm fucking fed up with hearing it. Great North is a very fucking shitty show riding the coattails of Bob's Burgers in every way. Even down to constantly needing shit and fart humor like a "who poopied in the pizza box?!?!" mystery. You people don't deserve a spot in the industry if you get one and make garbage like that. You already have Bob's Burgers for dumbass shit like "Linda shits in public and gets detained for it" you don't need a clone complete with little child in a stupid marketable animal outfit.
It's really embarrassing something as shallow as that exists but that's all Fox knows how to do. Pump out clones. This one was made by women riding the coattails of Bob's which is popular so it won't get canned.
Just fucking end them already
>but hard working people, so many employeed that need the job...
This argument has always been so fucking stupid
In the real world you don't get to keep a job because "you need it", it doesn't work like that. If that is too much for you, this isn't the right field for you
can't have full-season physical releases anymore
can't even have 20-episode seasons now
Next you're gonna tell me they'll all switch to rigged animation
This one was made by women riding the coattails of Bob's which is popular so it won't get canned.
It literally IS getting canned, though. Now that American Dad is back, FOX has no need to cling to a Bob's clone to keep the lights on. Probably a similar reason why Solar Opposites is ending. I thought that show would surely go on for years and years
With Bento Box as their go-to studio and the FOX executives sticking to their 'family sitcom' mandate for all their cartoons, I don't see that happening.

But has Grimsburg been renewed for a third season or has it been cancelled for good?
I hope Grimsburg isn't dead already. It's not perfect, but I consider it the strongest of the newer fox toons
American Dad returns to Fox
now we need Futurama and King of the Hill to return to Fox after their respective runs on Hulu
I'd be glad to get 15 episodes in this landscape. Especially with how most of these shows are just generic animated sitcoms with no ambition beyond minor character arcs to feign interesting continuity and character depth. 15 episodes is enough to say "i made a cartoon!" and move on to the next shitty endeavor.
The real problem is that anyone with ambition would just have their shit sanded down to look like Family Guy. That shit even affected that one Scooby cartoon despite having nothing to do with Fox, execs are just insane about needing to copy anything popular, even if already working with a popular IP that has its own style.
Oh for sure. I've grown to like the show a lot, and yea, it has so far become the best in the Animation Domination lineup after Family Guy declined in quality
You're part of the problem. We need those shows to make good use of their revivals by treating them as epilogue seasons and fucking ENDING FOR GOOD
I was joking to tell you the truth. I don't want more of Hulurama, and the Comedy Central episodes were already shit with only a few decent to good episodes
Apparently it was beacuse those shows are getting streaming exclusive episodes like The Simpsons and Family Guy. T
The order is actually 22 but 7 episodes will be for streaming.
TLRD: Disney is ruining Animation Domination
I'd like Krapopolis more if the Cannibal king appeared more often. Like last episode could've just ended with Tyrannis sending the evil Vizier there.
I'd like Krapopolis more if the Cannibal king appeared more often.
Kieth David's a busy man Anon, he's probably doing voice lines in Rick and Morty as we speak.
