Could you imagine if it’s shit?

People will 100% see this in theaters as a middle finger to WB.

how long until Ketchup gets sold the rights to the full Loony Toons IP for cheap?

Money Laundering Entertainment

file.png - 1020x540, 107.79K

50 mil for a nearly complete film

That is a fucking steal holy shit.
I hope it succeeds to make WB eternally seethe.

And honestly with a "budget" like that it very well could.

Wasted 50m on a shit movie

BIG mistake. Lost media heads aren’t gonna get that back.

Top-Grossing

1995-2025

half the list grossed zero (0) dollars

not a single film before 2013

Whoever compiled this needs to be committed.

So why did we try to save this movie again? It looked like shit.

Looney Tunes fans are about as starving and desperate as Muppet fans.

cue everyone bitching and moaning because they NEED to be a contrarian

Aahh noooo, a movie might be RELEASED this is terrible. I was hoping my tax dollars would help bail-out the multibillion dollar corporation from their mistake of making an entire film :(

Everyone won, except for you. You lost.

It's still gonna lose money, Day the Earth Blew Up has made 10 million and is on its last days of profitability.

I'm afraid it doesn't matter to Xitter animation comoooonity freaks.

Like the liberal bolsheviks they came from, it's more about pushing for the cause than considering the logistics or consequences

did you watch the movie? how did you know if you haven't watched it? you must've watched it, can you tell me about it?

You're right, I think I will watch it

On a torrent

It's honestly a fool's errand, because all the people who complained about this on twitter will definitely not watch it. The idea that this film will generate like 300mil or something because it went viral a few times... It just isn't going to happen. In fact, you can take my word that reviews will joke that it should've stayed buried, because I guarantee it won't be evaluated extremely high.

You are fucking deranged.

Lot of the hatewagon is based on it being cel shaded CG like that Tom and Jerry movie, when that was shit for plenty of reasons besides the effects.

This, they just got Morbius’d. That really sucks.

All modern Looney tunes is soulless shit. Why would this be different

it's totally a culture war thing bro

wanting a movie to be released instead of allowing a company to make an entire film and then decide not to release it and getting reimbursed on the dime of the American government is stupid

Especially not the company that owns Batman, they don't make enough money and might financially struggle

I love paying for a company to make shit and then not release it, I hope more companies make me reimburse them for their mistakes

I thought you people hated handouts?

I could hardly care about box office. I’m just glad we’re seeing it. I love Will Forte and Coyote.

Solid retort, you've completely flipped my perspective

They like any charming family movie as long as it isn’t Disney

I thought you hated capitalism?

I never had faith on flipping the cancerous mass of buzzwords that your post was.

50 million

for that

lmao

there's really no getting around this for the guys who are used to using anti-consumerism rhetoric to shitpost.

If WB held off on releasing Space Jam 2, you retards would be clamoring for Zaslav's head for that garbage to be released, too. And I would never forgive any of you for forcing that atrocity to be released to the masses

If this makes more money than The Day The KINO Blew Up I swear to God

It was FUN

provides no counterargument

Like the liberal bolsheviks they came from

2026 release

isn’t it finished?
they can’t release it this year?

This is a live action cartoon hybrid movie, what if it ends up being just as horrid as this shit

Untitled.jpg - 186x271, 14.17K

The other movie was also finished and they took 7 months to release it
Let's be realistic anon, it clearly will

This shit was perfectly mid. Nothing genuinely awful or amazing. Overhated as fuck.

It's not about the movie's quality, it's the fact that WB are ridiculous for shelving a movie that completed its production and is ready to release. There is no justification for this attitude as it allows corporations to shelve multiple projects as tax write-offs, which benefit nobody but the corpos who greenlit garbage anyways. You don't get to say "it looks like shit, shelve it" when WB puts out shit like The Flash every year, there is clearly no quality control at the studio, so you may as well push this out.
Anybody hoping this stayed shelved to make fun of animators or anyone else is falling into corporate scum hands, the type who keep making live action remakes and garbage interpretations of beloved characters. By allowing this practice to continue, it will eventually affect something YOU want to see. So shut the fuck up and accept this as a good thing, you don't even have to watch it if you don't like how it looks.

fisk.jpg - 1920x817, 87.56K

No, kys flyfucker.

They. Don't. Care.

If Foodfight was lost media being held back from release, these thoughtless dopes would create rallies for that, too.

Anything with two frames of animation must be seen and financially supported according to these drones.

It's done, now is just a matter of arranging for a time slot.

Look its great Ketchup made a culture war decsion, but its live action slop like Rescue Rangers only with less cameos and starring Road Runner who is not a big draw for audiences.

If it made a billion dollars then cool but everyone knows its gonna bomb and that'll embolden corporations to abuse tax write offs more.

There is genuinely no defense for allowing this to be written off for taxes.
If it gets released, you don't even have to watch it and WB takes a loss.
If it gets written off, then congrats, a portion of your taxpayer dollars went into allowing WB to make a shit film and then have all of us pay for them to not even see it.

Foodfight was cringekino

Why does this movie make people so mad

As opposed to what? Wanting WB to get free tax money?

written by the girl behind may december and james gunn

yeah, it’s kino

Does that person even exist or is it just a nickname for people that disagree with random anons about literally any topic? Are you even a human being?

Look its great Ketchup made a culture war decision

Literally how, you'll need to provide context because I just see people who think a finished film should be released.

that'll embolden corporations to abuse tax write offs more.

It shouldn't be allowed in the first place, that's the problem.

Except Space Jam 2 would never have gotten shelved because it was a vanity project for Lebron James. Thats the difference, WB would allow crap like that to get released because of business deals with "important" people like Lebron, but would cut this movie because they dont have names as big as them in the first place. And I can bet you everything that this movie is better than space jam 2, yet Zaslav would let that abomination slide while this gets canned.

but John Cena

John Cena is an actor now, he's been in plenty of movies and is not nearly the celebrity Lebron is, or at least not in the eyes of WB.

the type who keep making live action remakes and garbage interpretations of beloved characters

Coyote vs. ACME is mostly live action and doesn't even use hand drawn animation for the characters.

At least TDtEBU tried to look animated. The problem is autists hyping up this film like it's The Godfather

DRONES DRONES DRONES

Calm down, Zaslav.

BATNEGRESS OR WE RIOT

No, they can keep that one

Coyote vs. ACME is mostly live action

But it's not a live action remake. There is no animated movie called "Coyote vs Acme" that they are remaking in live action, it's a completely different beast. This is fundamentally different from Beauty and the Beast, both are completely different properties. Yes, there is live action and animation, but from premise to execution both films are entirely different.

wanting to see a film released is culture war

Aight.

He knew

IMG_4213.jpg - 1179x1297, 937.23K

Wanting to see a film to own zaslav is culture war yeah

Both

Warner Bros. is going to an hero whether this movie gets released or not.

If the Day the Earth Blew Up is struggling to make back it's money, how the hell do you think a bigger budget production with near zero promotion from it's distributor is going to fare?

Space Jam 2 was a commercial for HBOMax, Nike, and E3 for some reason. They had an incentive to put that out.

WB takes a loss

Explain how a $50 million deal is a loss.

Is that...3DPD interacting with 2D cartoons? WOOOO HOLD MY NINTENTO SWITCH JESSICA, A NEW KINO IS ON THE HORIZON

How innovative, how funny. Whiners won.
The title alone smells like putrid shit, and you're asking this?

Don't care. Shelving films and sucking off corpos is good because it owns the libs.

Because everyone knows about coyote vs acme as "the film warner bros didn't want to release!" which is free marketing for the film. The day the earth blew up was meant for streaming and got turned into a theatrical release, it was never meant to be a big thing. Meanwhile, this film is the talk of the town.
It wont be a huge success like a MCU film, but I do believe the interest will make it have a lot of money. Especially if they release in January or other dead months where it had no competition. The day the earth blew up has almost gotten back its budget just by releasing in one of the most dead months in cinema history.

he thinks there's no lib corpos

Go back

wanting to see a film released is culture war

Ok. I wasn't sure about people here getting brainrot, but I am 100% now.

HBOMax

What's that?

Corpos don't believe in anything but money, bootlicking nigger.

I poorly explained. What I meant was "if they didn't write if off."
If WB didn't write off the movie, all that would happen is that a bad movie gets released, and WB takes a loss that they could easily make up by selling more Batman pajamas.
Even so, the estimated budget for the movie is 70 million, so WB would be taking a loss even with Ketchup.

oh nooo

scott-hall.gif - 220x163, 297.62K

One of the biggest corpos out there is the woman who you think killed star wars because she's "woke". Also

I willingly support people who believe in nothing but money

You are the definition of a bootlicker.

So you honestly without bullshitting think people want a live action hybrid of Road Runner suing Acme with human slop actors like John Cena as the big draw? This is something that'd be made as a MAX exclusive at best, if they weren't purging Looney Tunes there too.

The guy who let Velma be released is from the right?

we finally get this movie

anons are arguing about “woke”

get a grip you obnoxious faggots

There is no justification for this attitude as it allows corporations to shelve multiple projects as tax write-offs, which benefit nobody but the corpos who greenlit garbage anyways.

The hell you are talking about? Bad movies can tank brand perception for a loooooooong time.
It's like how Batman movies went on a nearly 10 year hiatus after the disastrous Batman & Robin release.
If Looney Tunes films are consistently known for trash then it becomes an ouroboros of releasing bombs for the sake of bombs.

5675675675.jpg - 1200x1200, 119.76K

And why is that my, yours or anyone else's problem aside from the people who spent 50 million dollars on it?

One of the biggest corpos out there is the president's 2nd hand, and he has been very vocal about importing jeets to replace the white workforce.

You're right, Batman never made money again.

Nigger, Warner already killed Looney Tunes' perception. And they didn't need to release Coyote vs Acme to do that.

"Gee, why are all these entertainment companies laying off all these hard-working employees?"

Again, why is wanting a film to be released "culture war"?

It had to shake the stigma first. And it wasn't like it was an easy feat.

When The Dark Knight was filming I remember a lot of people were worried about the new Joker. Heath Ledger's performance saved it but previously people expected it to fail because he was a Ronald McDonalds knock off.

With Looney Tunes it's harder to pull off the same comeback. How many more times can you reboot Bugs Bunny and his pals? Not much.

Yeah, I'm sure making them do all the work, shelve it, take tax money and then fire all of them anyways is much better!

People will 100% see this in theaters

We'll see. I have a feeling not nearly as many people will see it in theaters as the online bitching would have you believe. A lot of people just need something to be mad about. I think a lot of people will 100% pirate it, but you're probably overestimating how many will get off their ass, fork over the cash for tickets, and actually go see this thing in theaters.

I think we'll see a slightly bigger turnout than The Day The Earth Blew Up, and then people will realize the movie is just kind of forgettable. A few will stubbornly proclaim that it's a triumph of cinema, others will admit that it's not great but it was an important win of creative rights over corpo tax manipulations, and most people will just let it go quietly into the night.

I'm glad it's getting a release. If WB wanted to can the project, that decision should have been made much earlier in development. Once it was finished, it should get a proper release. That said, this cel-shaded CG BS featuring "overacting dumb guy" Will Forte was never going to be a piece of cinematic excellence. Coyote vs Acme is significant because of the controversy, not in spite of it.

This same guy will defend Zaslav making 50 million a year to not release movies, but act like he cares about the employees under him making like 100k at the most.

Forever didn't kill Batman.
Space Jam 1 was trash and didn't kill Looney Tunes. Back In Action was trash and seen by less people, yet it didn't kill the IP either.

Yeah, that about sums it up

At least TDtEBU tried to look animated

What do you mean tried to? Is it not? I haven't seen it, but I assumed it was hand animated given the brief clips I've seen here and there in passing.

nooooo, le 3D ionteracting with cartoons is LE EVIL

Die mad about it, CalArts tranny

Yes, the whole movie is hand drawn. Idk what that anon is trying to say

I haven't seen it

Lel

Technically, it's hand drawn animation, but it uses a lot of Toon-Boom tweening in lieu of traditional frame-by-frame

go back to Anon Babble where you belong you spastic tourist

Back in Action was supposed to kick off a larger revival of the Looney Tunes with new shorts and it all came to a grinding halt when it bombed and the classic stuff was pulled out of CN's rerun rotation.

Toon-Boom tweening

What does that mean?

WB's streaming service

I'm doing my part

It may be shit but it still needs to be seen just so that we could judge it on our own

Space Jam 1 was the most successful basketball movie until 2022. It was also the 10th biggest movie of 1996.

Untitled.png - 978x897, 93.96K

Better than slop. Human >>> machine.

ionteracting

lmao
Mald harder

Nothing you said was real English.

Yep, I still liked it for what it was, but it was closer to a cartoon network movie with spumco influence then a full 2D Looney Tunes experience.
Short version is that many modern 2D shows aren’t actually drawn like the old days but are flat CG rigs. Think south park, now make it more complicated. Look up toonboom rigging on youtube.

a movie starring looney tunes and mainly white people is woke now

That’s grifters for you

asking that on Anon Babble of all places

Oh my god, you can't be serious...

Okay, fine: what I mean is rather than drawing enough frames by hand or cel painting, they use animation software on the computer to manipulate the drawings so the animation looks more fluid, saving time, money, and effort for the animators.

Might seem that way because you're ESL.

Back in the 1900s, people were more into Looney Tunes shorts instead of the Mickey and Friends ones being actually funny (Until they started to suck in the 60s).

Now decades later a LT movie, not starring Bugs for that matter, beat Disney's recent live-action bastardization.

Can't wait to see CVA beat the shit out of that shitty Hercules remake.

WB releases movies in the same level of bad as batman and robin every year, tanking multiple IPs with big hollywood movies that keep flopping. I don’t see why Coyote Vs Acme should be shelved when The Flash and Aquaman the lost kingdom get released. Those actually hurt the brand and made the DC reboot thing confusing. That’s way worse than this film.
Space Jam 2 is the batman and robin of looney tunes and it didn’t tank the reputation of those characters. Not even for Lebron.

They should have gone with the Skate Jam idea.
Tony Hawk was at his peak in the 2000s and the Looney Tunes worked better doing sports.

77e5711f1d627.jpg - 2048x1564, 777.37K

why did this movie deserve to be lost media anyway? even if it, shit. it deserves to be judged fairly by the public eye instead of being shelved

I don't get why Twitter animation 'enthusiasts' treat this movie like some kind of rallying point when the majority of them are tranny zoomers who only watched Stephen Universe.

I can't find it anywhere.

He speaks the truth

as much as I loved Back in Action, Skate Jam would've been kino. I could see it be similar to that of Extremely Goofy Movie

that's because it was renamed to Max since 2023, removing the HBO name

Now suddenly Anon Babble is hating on this movie. You fuckers really are contrarian monkeys.
I didn't see any of you fuckers in the old threads. Go suck a dick you fucking faggots.

You would have a point if it wasn't just 99% slop getting shelved
Unless there's something I can't think of, it seems like every project that got canned was something that was obviously going to be shit. I remember everyone getting up in arms over Coyote vs Acme getting canned but why stand up for this of all things? I get what you're saying about this sets a precedent but the issue is that you're also saying that every shitty thing that'll make no money and just sucks should just get put out there just because. But in reality that's what's currently hurting the industry so you HAVE to start really looking at what should get put out there because otherwise everyone is gonna get fucked.
Again I get what you're saying but doing this doesn't help either. It's a big waste of time (and money) that just kinda hurts everyone in the process. And personally I feel like twitter artists and online animators were only getting butthurt about this because they almost thrive on slop getting made because that guarantees work, not understanding that propagating this mindset is what will ironically put them out of work

I was there, you just don't recognize me because of my haircut.

the script leaked and it was shit

Zaslav hates looney tunes and sees anything involving them as easy tax write-offs. It has nothing to do with the quality of the film.

Because corporations kowtowing to fans is le bad. Where was this energy for Batgirl?

That will always be the dumbest thing to me, why would they not just name it Warner Max. You could even make the logo a WM with the end of the W being the beginning of the M. And don’t tell me it’s because “nobody recognizes Warner Bros because it’s still be better than just Max

"Rebels looking for a cause" would be the easiest explanation to give

And they will completely fail to meaningfully market it and will only release it to select screens, then wonder why it failed.

It's a nice haircut, I'm not gonna lie.
You should ask that cute girl out.

Based anon

Ayyy.gif - 303x303, 797.07K

Then no one has to watch it? I've never watched the chip and dale movie. It's quite fucking easy unless you're some braindead retard who HAS to gobble up anything put in front of you, to the point where you need bad movies to be banned just to stop yourself.

It's like people here just WANT to be angry lmao.

People want to see a LT movie that's actually a LT movie instead of a sports commercial (Or in A New Legacy's case, a sports AND streaming service commercial) and to prevent LT from being fucked over.

"NOOOOOO how dare people hate this movie!"

Is it your first day or something?

Batgirl must have really sucked if this turd survived

This garbage should have never been greenlit in the first place.

youtube.com/watch?v=7B5wIvGk3-w
Race Jam would've also saved Looney Tunes, since NASCAR's Jeff Gordon was also into it and was in his hype back in the day

it seems like every project that got canned was something that was obviously going to be shit.

nta but again. they released the flash and didn't care when erza was being a criminal. they don't care about quality. they care about saving money

There is a LT movie in theaters right now and you’re still angry.
Also, what is coyote vs acme promoting? The law? There is no product they’re advertising in the film

Now suddenly Anon Babble is hating on this movie

I never cared about the movie. In fact, it not being traditionally animated was a major red flag.

Bored morons like yourself will watch this movie, say it's kino and then forget about it a month later. You don't think, you just say.

the joke is that they made commercial for HBOMax and now it doesn't even exist. Like tears in the rain. Time to die.

How do pirate I it? I'd take a mega if i coujld

twitter artists and online animators were only getting butthurt about this because they almost thrive on slop getting made because that guarantees work, not understanding that propagating this mindset is what will ironically put them out of work

Think I just found the best line in this thread

why? because it doesn't pander to you? so that means all the entire team should be laid off and replaced just because david didn't want to waste any money? all because one faggot doesn't like looney tunes?

There is a LT movie in theaters right now and you’re still angry.

I know. I've actually seen it twice.
Plan to do the same thing with this if not more.

yea bro these brainlets will take chances on films they've never seen. they should never want a film made in a dying medium they love to be made because it could be heccin' miderino

Is your mommy also a mindless drone for eating the occasional salad instead of tendies?

why would they not just name it Warner Max

Why the fuck would they go with Warner Max instead of HBO Warner or Warner HBO? Max is just a random word that brings literally nothing to the table! No one sees Max and thinks of prestige television or movies. At best people associate it with skinemax, which is certainly not a good thing.

Putting Max in there and then changing it to just Max is genuinely so stupid that I think it must have been a plot to tank the company for some venture capitalist ghouls to be able to buy it up or something. They just can't be THAT stupid without some kind of ulterior motive behind dumping the name associated with high quality tv across the world.

People want to see a LT movie that's actually a LT movie

Then they should watch The Day the Earth Blew Up
Or Back In Action

Imagine?

They tried to during development, but they decided to call it HBO Max, and it's stupid

People are more sympathetic towards Looney Tunes, a recently somewhat neglected IP and historically important to WB, and a new high profile installment of it, than yet another Batman spin-off in the saturated medium of live-action superhero movies.
Zaslav spurning LT is more emblematic of his poor leadership because of it as well.

Or Back In Action

Not shit. Don't know why people hate it so much. One of the better post-original shorts material.

bugs-bunny.gif - 220x220, 275.39K

so that means all the entire team should be laid off and replaced just because david didn't want to waste any money? all because one faggot doesn't like looney tunes?

Yes.

I'm sorry--and I'M the one not speaking real English?

Looney Tunes has spent more time struggling to stay relevant than they had BEING relevant.

Space Jam 1 was trash

Either a zoomer or a delusional, hasn’t-left-his-house-since-1982 boomer wrote this. That film is beloved by most people. You disliking it doesn’t change the fact that it was a massive success and largely well liked.

Max conveys "We have the maximum amount of content from our vaults" similar to Disney, Paramount and Apple's use of the word Plus.
Of course that's a fucking lie with how much stuff rotates in or out or just leaves and never comes back like the Cartoon Network catalog.

It also SUCKS btw and looks like shit. Anon Babble knew this when it was called flash but they changed up the program and now it’s tolerated by idiots.

deserves

Nothing made by corporations “deserves” anything.

from our vaults

what vaults? all I know is you've got the max, not what you've got the max of. I wouldn't want to get a subscription to Plus either.

but why stand up for this of all things?

I really don't see the issue. What makes you so sure that this movie we've seen 0 footage of is gonna be shit?
Unless we have seen footage of it?

The real reason the movie got shelved is because the villain is a parody of Zaslav, the head of ACME, and he didn’t want people to make fun of him. But now he made things worse.

it's good because muh childhood nostalgia

Kill yourself

That film is beloved by most people

only by millennials who saw it as a little kid, it's amazing how millennials refuse to move on from their childhood

le corpos bad!

le zaslav ebil

I don’t like the way he treats the IP personally but it’s always been insufferable that this film was treated like Rosa parks.

tranny zoomers

You should also be aware that there’s a rumor that’s surrounded this film of a scene being included that paints bugs as cross dressing in his private time rather than just as a joke or gag.

Now suddenly Anon Babble is hating on this movie

Nobody loves or hates the movie. And this isn’t even knew. We told you faggots from day one we don’t care about your shitty movie or your self-styled revolution. Kill yourself.

it’s bad because I say so!!

Boomer who hasn’t left his house since 82 it is. I accept your concession.

Saar I can't understand your dialect

So you're ESL AND a newfag

Don’t get me wrong, I have my own issues with Zaslav. Him grazing the original Looney Tunes building was a bridge too far for me.

Coyote vs. ACME was not made with passion, I can already tell you that from the fact that it uses cel-shaded CG rather than hand drawn animation. The movie is a 90-minute SNL skit pretending to be a Looney Tunes movie, and I'm sick of Twittards (and including the ones moonlighting here) pretending they give any iota of a shit about Looney Tunes.

Again--I respect The Day the Earth Blew Up a lot more because while it's not perfect, at least it tried to be Looney Tunes.

proxy-image.jpg - 644x535, 38.42K

Shouldn't be hard to make back a $50 million investment though.

Making it a huge success would spit Warner in the face.

Not him, but it was garbage and it's only liked because of "but muh childhood nostalgia"

t. 94 late-millennial here

the only good thing I can say about it is the theme song which was meme'd so much during the early-2010s due to a shitload of mashups, before Siivagunner became a thing

They need to find a release date and then have time for the ad campaign

ITT: Zaslav shills seething

Because everyone wants it released too "Own the CEO" but they won't actually pay to watch it when it comes out.

n-n-not him but I’m parroting him exactly and ignoring that quibbling over why people love it doesn’t mean it isn’t beloved

Go outside you faggot

It had to shake the stigma first.

Not really. Nolan's Batman was so different from Burton/Schumacher that there was going to be no confusion from audiences that this was a reboot.

When The Dark Knight was filming I remember a lot of people were worried about the new Joker

That has literally nothing to do with the "brand" being damaged by Batman and Robin and more about the Gay Cowboys movie guy being cast as the Joker. Same when Mr Mom was cast as Batman in the 80s.

They still have to pay for distribution and advertising. They’ll genuinely be lucky to eek out a few mil.

Here’s a simple wh to understand investment:

would you be willing to risk 1000 dollars on the chance you can, at best, end up with 1100 and at worst end up with 500?

Nobody wants their tax dollars going to a filthy jew like Zaslav. You retards know he's jewish, right?

Imagine? It's a WB production.

You don’t fit in faggot and you’re not as anonymous as you think. Have fun being blacklisted.

I can't imagine having this level of brainworms over people liking cartoons.

"Oh but what if the cartoon is bad?"

Who gives a fuck?

james Gunn

It's shit

i dont like a screenshot because it has CGI, therefore no one cared while making that movie, I UM SMRT!

no you are not.
no one is gonna deny that maybe the movie will be shit, but that doesnt justify the CEO of a company, someone who should have watched the movie before making his decision to shelve it, do what he did.

if its good, the people have the right to go see it, and if it is SO bad it had to be shelved, then they should just be honest and said it so, not just 'we're shelving it because we need money', as simple as that.

There's just not enough skilled 2D animators in America to do a Roger Rabbit or even a Back in Action anymore.
Day the Earth Blew Up's a good movie, but the only time it really moves out of "TV movie with some extra shading as polish" territory is the gum monster.

Nice projection there, and nice of you to keep on seething and malding about your childhood nostalgia like a manchild you truly are

it seems like every project that got canned was something that was obviously going to be shit

you would have a point, if it werent because the one in charge doesnt even watch the movies, or does whatever companies do in this cases like commitees and tests and such to actually see if it is truly a good idea or not to release it. we know for an absolute fact CvA didnt went thru that, so no, NO ONE can say the movie is shit. ONLY when the movie releases people will be able to make that judgement, NOT BEFORE.

This. We need to support this.

everyone I don't like is a shill

shilling Gunntard

How are you liking the upcoming Superman movie so far?

That's not exactly going to double the budget at all and it's still a decent win as well as great PR for the studio if they even make a modest profit off the deal.

Also everyone seems to have totally lost the concept that films continue to make returns for years after the initial release. They will still make licensing money off this movie for the next decade. I'm not sure why this aspect of film production is ignored now.

Zaslav got 50 million dollars richer so it's not like this owned him in the end.

You're right! We should instead send three times that amount to Netanyahu who clearly needs it more!

The Twitter animation doesn't like cartoons

$50M

Weren't Netflix trying to throw down $70M for this?

This movie was just gonna be a regular movie, but because of the controversy now everyone has some high and mighty opinion of it

He wanted 70 million originally and he's misisng out on any extra money this movie makes through physical media and streaming.

The funny part is had this actually released and avoided all this brouhaha, it would have been lambasted as a soulless misuse of the property.

Kind of reminds me of how the Snyder Cut was hailed as this huge revolution for creators when it was finally released only for people to stop talking about it after a couple of months.

This. Social media shitheads who are either fags, pedos or wine moms pretend to act as if animation is "le serious business" but turn around and watch modern day shitty kid slop with CalArts designs and such. This is exactly why nobody takes these whole "animation is for everyone" seriously

make returns for years after initial release

Home video sales aren't the lifeline they used to be, anon. Matt Damon goes on about it.

Because streaming killed the physical home media market that was the main driver of long-term returns.

reminder this movie is about a shitty lawyer and his family problems. this isn't Roger Rabbit. it's a bad version of Rescue Rangers.

The Looney Tunes shorts blu ray collection will make it up

Immediately jumping to the defence of Daddy Zaslav

Newfag.

Yes if the risk wasn't there, which there isn't.
Even if we say distribution and advertisement doubles the cost there's still much working in favor of this movie

No toxic extremist like with Snow White (which even that looks to make 50 million)

It would be fueled by anti corporate sentiment which a lot more people are on board for than you probably think

It's Loony Toons, everyone loves Loony Toons

Will it make MCU tier money? Fuck no, but I can see it making a sizable profit.

At least some form of justice league movie released, this one didn’t even do that.

I just wish I could watch a movie to be entertained instead of supporting some cause.

Mandala affect

*MandEla Effect

sucking Zaslav dick

I can't imagine having this level of brainworms over people liking cartoons.

I like cartoons, not an overhyped SNL skit pretending to be one.

Who gives a fuck?

You're the same type of nitwit that championed everything Marvel shit out

Streaming services still pay licensing fees to play the movie anon. They still draw money.

Think about it though. The controversy around this movie makes it a hot item to release. WB was even willing to sell it to streaming services months ago, so even they recognize its value somewhat. And by releasing two movies that got shelved, the company gets good reputation, meaning more people will want to work with them. Who even knew Ketchup Entertainment before this? Now they are a known name, with more people going to them for business.

I honestly just hate how The Day The Earth Blew Up was dragged into this and was only used as a prop. The one 2D animated movie to be released in theaters and now people only care about a live action hybrid.

Because it ultimately didn't matter since Snyder's Justice League was a discarded cog in the cinematic universe machine full of plot threads that will never be developed any further. Like wow, you put Martian Manhunter into the ending and threw in an epilogue surrounding that Evil Superman what-if timeline that doesn't really have to do with anything, who cares, you're not gonna make your Batman Cucks Superman movie.

So are people just okay with wasteful government spending now? Why should the government/taxpayer be supporting movie studios' mistakes when they write stuff off? Is this not the same shit being complained about with other areas?

Dude it wasnt even meant to be a theatrical movie, it was meant to be an hbo max exclusive. If it wasn’t dragged to this it would have never released.

These movies might have more impact if Warner Bros did not take Looney Tunes off almost every channel 20 years ago and keep them to a very little known premium cable rerun channel instead.

Taking Looney Tunes off ABC, Fox, Nickelodeon, TBS, Cartoon Network, TNT, and all other local level channels across the nation to be placed on Boomerang took them right out of the public consciousness.

Snyder Cut

Best thing to compare this to.

when it was finally released only for people to stop talking about it after a couple of months.

Dollars to donuts this will happen again. Anyone rabidly supporting this movie's release does not actually care about it. It's the equivalent of the Secret Box from SpongeBob.

In fact, would the animators who worked on this film even get residuals if it released? Ive known people who worked on productions that didn't get paid because the project was sold to another company

It still sucks how people only see it as footnote CvA's success. In a better world, this modest success would have people try to push 2D back into the spotlight with smaller ventures.

console war mentality

In fact, would the animators who worked on this film even get residuals if it released?

No, but the benefit is being able to use this film in their resume and show off specific things they did for it. It being unreleased means that if someone spent years of their life employed on it, and can't even show it as leverage for their next job, they're out of luck.

Anyone who doesn't support this is the enemy. We need this to save animation.

in our world, theatrical release CvA would've been another Space Jam 2 flop

I wonder if anything will even change when this finally releases. I can't imagine it will somehow revive the brand and make people love animation again or even stop these Tex write offs. Hell, people are more interested in the indie distributor than LT.

i really do dislike the modern twitter animation fandom

liberal bolsheviks

that's an oxymoron. liberals are right wing capitalists, you dumbfuck. if bolsheviks were in power, liberals who wielded power would be executed

Ultimately, I don't care whether it gets released or not. For me it's just the fact that people are clamoring for a movie that's mid at best, claiming it to be some hidden gem or testament to the art of animation. There are unironic fans of Space Jam 2, and as a long time Looney Tunes fan, that hurts.

I've seen a lot of properties suffer from this mentality Pokémon, as a personal example

Lots of people really mad that a portion of their taxes aren't going to WB burying this movie.

all the replies are just getting butthurt and resorting to ad hominem

Lmfao no one actually has a good reason for why this shit should exist

They're Zaslav shills. This needs to be protected.

even make a modest profit off the deal.

This is exactly what the post you’re replying to as saying. No, it isn’t worth the risk.

retard

I don't like it so that's why it's okay for a movie studio to spend 70 million making a movie they won't release and have the american taxpayer pay them back for it

liberals are right wing

That's an oxymoron, and so are you.

This also means the news they are letting this happen and before tax season only because they are looking to sell the Looney Tunes IP is confirmed true
Look for news of who they are negotiating with later this year

Again, Zaslav shills and a Nintendo shill to boot

I still doubt that at least. Given that they've invested in Blu-Ray collections, they might use this release as promotion for future projects.

you missed the point. it was made by a team of animators that are neglected by the company they work for. you want to after the corporate figures, fine. but the people who worked on the movie should not be caught up in the mess that one faggot caused. having to throw months of work away just for a tax write off is sickening

Didn't read the first sentence of my post

You're a parasite with ADD

eek out a few mil.

oh no how horrible only a few million in profits, whatever will they do

retard effect

capitalism is a right wing economy

Did you mean to say liberalism, or are you just schizophrenic?

This. Animation is healing.

I ain't watching it unless there's a sexy female coyote in there somewhere.

liberal

If they're liberal, they're Mensheviks, not Bolsheviks.

This. If anything it helps animation flourish.

No ones mad they just dont understand why you pretend to defend it

agrees with person they're arguing with

calls them schizophrenic

jumba.png - 640x480, 268.71K

Because it proves that live action won in the end

Holy shit, why DIDN'T they do this?? Lola being a skateboarder in the Tiny Toons reboot would have actually made sense.

I hope they do an adaption of Beast World, but without the Beast Boy plot.

Foghorn is the villain

Foghorn bros it’s so fucking over

we saved the movie by doing nothing!

But it will make Zaslav mad that a well liked character was used to make fun of him

I'm sure it won't be as good as The Day The Earth Blew Up but it has to be better than Space Jam 2.

Why do you think OP says Reddit won?

The people who want this movie released so badly expect some kind of major benefit

They say "who cares if it's bad", but if it's bad, then why are we asking for it to be released?

Why would someone want to put a bad film on their resume?

How much of the Looney Tunes characters do we know are actually on screen?

They say "wanting a movie to be released is not political", but if the movie's quality is irrelevant, why else would you want it to be released?

If it wasn't worth it then no one would have bought it.

You can stop pretending you have any idea what you are talking about now.

That got zero publicity, though. This movie has been in the news a lot, even if Ketchup doesn't spend a dime on advertisements it'll still do way better.

you realize if it makes $8 million in returns, that's actually $58 million the company made in a short timeframe? While also they will continue to make more money licensing it to various platforms in the foreseeable future. That's a consistent stream of income for purchasing a film for a fraction of a cost. It's an investment not a one time purchase for a one time viewing.

I'm not supporting a shit movie to own the corpos. I could just watch indie animation since that's all the rage now.

is ketchup entertainment a pooper scooper or like a movie version of thrift stores?

I see that the anti-shill compaign likely launched by Zaslav's minions is working as planned, but I'm still going to buy multiple tickets to this regardless of whatever group think you're trying to establish here WB. It won't work on me.

That scene where Bugs’ voice is going to be the message from Forte’s character’s ex confirming him as bi is going to happen

Based

The script leaked

all the corporate shills in this thread

i hope you aren't doing it for free. zaslav is not your friend.

So shut the fuck up and accept this as a good thing

I will not consoom

This. Why is Zaslav trying to stop this? People are going to make this a success and animation will heal. We need to buy as many tickets as possible.

the libs are the ones who would be happy for corporate control

Looney Tunes will finally be relevant; Bugs being bi will be canon.

A live action John Cena vehicle with cheap CG renditions of characters is going to make animation heal

There are anons on this thread that don't know the difference between digital and frame-by-frame tweening, so I really shouldn't be surprised

Either not entirely or a past version that’s not the final cut

WB greenlits garbage every year

but this one shouldn’t be released!

What about it is any worse than their usual releases?

Both will probably suck

It's not even playing at my theater.

Fuck off Zaslav

You're so obsessed with cartoon characters having gay sex and then wonder why people don't take you seriously

Okay Zaslav

Everyone I dislike is Zaslav

Mate, do you even draw?

if this movie is a success the board would question zaslav and his judgement and zaslav can't have that.
notice how the moment it was confirmed for release auddenly we got people talking about how shit it'll be.
maybe it will, who knows, i'm still glad my tax money isn't going to zaslav's fuckups, i won even if the movie is bad. if the movie ends up being good i win twice and i don't even have to pay for it anyway, why do retards itt forget that?

This thread kind of shows there really isn't that much genuine hype in the movie beyond the controversy.

it's the fact that WB are ridiculous for shelving a movie that completed its production and is ready to release. There is no justification for this attitude as it allows corporations to shelve multiple projects as tax write-offs, which benefit nobody but the corpos who greenlit garbage anyways.

and why should I give a shit?
corpos pay up front to get products made, the idea being that they'll get more than their investment in profits. hence why sequels to popular stuff are safe bets if a piece of shit like CvA is looking to do the same business as Space Flop 2, they'll want to cut their losses and just shelf their flop. unlike anons, I know the meaning of cause and effect and none of the stuff I like is on the level of unpopular shit like Looney Tunes, so there.

See
We're on to you Zaslav

notice how the moment it was confirmed for release auddenly we got people talking about how shit it'll be.

People were saying that for years

It’s the only way to keep Bugs relevant to new audiences

and i don't even have to pay for it anyway, why do retards itt forget that?

So you're not going to support the film that's been rallied around? Something brought up in the actual thread?

Anon it's not about animation. It's about the principle. This will stop your favorite properties from being fucked over.

and garbage interpretations of beloved characters.

Doesn't CvA fit that exact bill going by the leaks?

I'm also gonna make the ridiculous argument that sometimes, and this is very rare, but a terrible script can be saved by a good performance.

t. Seinfeld fan

This actually a good argument but I'm not sure I trust the actors to pull a Seinfeld.

where was animation shitter when space jam 2 flopped?
what are we even rallying for, the dead IP Looney Tunes or obviously-not 2D animation?

This will save animation from getting fucked over anon.

capitalism is a right wing economy

liberals are right wing capitalists

Look, an even bigger idiot. Are you Bill Ackman per chance?

Why do they looked so photoshopped

where was animation shitter when space jam 2 flopped?

That was because of racism, LeBron James said so.

This looks like it has very little chance of being good, can't believe people rallied for this shit

Being shelved was probably the best thing that could have happened to this movie. Had it released on time, it would have been mid at best like RR and tossed to the slop pile. I wonder if people will have this same reaction for Batgirl and Powerpuff.

Anon it's not about animation. It's about the principle

Then stop pretending that this is about the animators. In fact, stop pretending you have principles.

This will stop your favorite properties from being fucked over.

Space Jam 2 already did that to Looney Tunes

Space jam 2 was the ultimate corpo movie while this is the anti corpo movie

That movie forever ruined the reputation of Gadget, even if you're not a waifufag you can see that. Releasing shitty movies have consequences and if this ruins LT somehow I will never forgive you.

Live action Powerpuff

Speaking of things that should have stayed buried

[The film] is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, capturing the essence of the beloved Looney Tunes characters while introducing them to a new generation. We believe it will resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Ketchup wouldn't lie to us

It's going to turn Foghorn into a villain like what they did to Peter Pan

Bugs’ movie is the only one that is permanently cancelled

And now he’s going to be a faggot

lol

The John Cena and Will Forte live action hybrid movie?

No

Then stop pretending that this is about the animators. In fact, stop pretending you have principles.

Stop bootlicking.

Foghorn Leghorn was always an asshole and Rabbit Run already had him as a villain.

Powerpuff had elements that can be perceived as anti corpo.

Oh boy…

Yes, but quality-wise it's literal trash.

nooo they ruined the reputation of my waifu ;_;

consider suicide

everyone wants it released too "Own the CEO"

Why are you making "hating on the greedy asshole" a bipartisan issue?

while introducing them to a new generation.

wrong. the kids could've used streaming to watch all the looney tunes if they really cared.

i'm still glad my tax money isn't going to zaslav's fuckups, i won even if the movie is bad.

You're an American meaning your tax dollars will be used for other stupid shit. You don't win.

Old Looney Tunes was racist.

People really forget that era of the 2010s where questionable characters were made into villains
They also made Cecil one too. It isn’t out of nowhere

Doesn't matter what you think, it did happen regardless and proves that releasing shitty movies have consequences.

I guarantee you this movie doesn't gross more than $50 million WW. The Day the Earth Blew Up has grossed a whopping $10 million.

Produced by James Gunn, a big name Hollywood producer at that.

It's woke to not love CEOs now.

Call me a bootlicker all you want, but holy shit, defending shitty movies to own the chuds sounds even more miserable

Haven't you been paying attention? Musk got elected and now you must love CEOs to be based, if you don't like one of them you're a communist terrorist culture warrior.

It's respecting the source material, people just want to hate the film.

We'll see after Superman Legacy. Which comes out well before Coyote, I might add

reputation of Gadget

It only ruined the reputation of a group of autists. The movie was well-liked by normies, who didn't care for the franchise themselves and are also the reason why shit like the Space Jam films were successful.

Wouldn't he be the bootlicker for defending a shitty Disney movie or has Anon Babble become so contrarian that they embrace live action hybrids not named Roger Rabbit?

shhhhh
/co is healing

The movie was well-liked by normies, who didn't care for the franchise themselves and are also the reason why shit like the Space Jam films were successful.

And this is supposed to convince me that releasing shitty movies is a good thing? Sounds like you don't even believe what you preach.

His Supergirl movie comes out the same year. Will any of this affect the publicity of the DC movies?

Space Jam 2 was released before WB and Discovery merged. It's entirely possible Zaslav would've shelved that shit, too.

Where the fuck are you seeing someone defending shitty movies? The guy should kill himself because he thinks a shitty movie should have been banned because it "ruined the reputation" of his waifu. That doesn't suddenly mean the shitty movie was good, just that he's a mentally defective and should remove himself from society instead of whining about how bad movies should be locked away in vaults to spare the feelings of waifufags.

waaah my rat waifu got fucked by huge fly cock

you are pathetic.

This. This movie is going to save animation.

I dislike Zaslav and distrust Musk. I don't have to champion probable garbage either.

For a group who claims to be non-binary, you sure have a habit of thinking in absolutes

It was shelved by corpos so yes

Yeah man every normie I know totally knows what's going on and will drop everything to see this movie

Bros, is live action PPG anti corpo?

You faggots are really going to try spamming them into releasing David Ayer's Suicide Squad and Batgirl, lmao.

Seriously, how many people outside the actually care about the controversy or even heard about this movie?

Where the fuck are you seeing someone defending shitty movies?

Right here - - - >

Matrix 4 was anti-corpo and it was dogshit

You faggots better go see this film. It better make at least 100 million or I'm never gonna feel bad if a cartoon that y'all like gets canceled ever again.

I'm mad.png - 1080x787, 687.92K

"And they will, too!"

It's possible they keep the physical release rights while still selling LT to someone else

They might want to keep the rights if only only for amusement park shit

Well WB already gave the rights to Looney Tunes and DC to Six Flags for like the next 90 years.

but what about Hanna-Barbera? I mean they can't just sell Looney Tunes, Batman and Superman before Tom & Jerry

i consume loads of furry porn and outside of here i see no one bring up gadget fucking a fly. this is the ONLY place that's still sperging out over it

Those archive remasters have been planned years in advance
They might have decided to sell it within the last 6 months, if not the last month. That means things would continue as planned until it’s announced as sold

Until word gets out, I'll just keep going on. This is just too weird.

The plot of Space Jam 2 is about a evil AI who hates Looney Tunes because they are "old and obsolete" in favor of chasing modern trends with algorithms

This. We need fuck WB up the ass.

It's an absolutely retarded storyline. Another example of the corporation's lack of awareness

Hell, even when it happened this was the only place I saw actually sperging out over it. Every other place talking about it was mostly sharing screenshots of people on here freaking out and laughing at them. People were talking more about the Peter Pan/Bobby Driscoll thing, calling Disney ghouls, or just saying it was a bad movie.

hope you guys saw The Day The Earth Blew Up. I am glad this is releasing but I have my doubts that it will be as good as the porky/daffy movie. If it's still in theaters I recommend watching it.

If any of you freaks have kids TDTEBU would be a perfect vehicle to introduce them to Looney Tunes.

I hate this movie because they made Foghorn the main villain

Saw it in theatres twice, and in my second showing, there were more crowds this time around, and it's mainly because I watched it in a Saturday afternoon this time around

This has Will Forte in it, that already makes it better

This has [celebrity] in it, that already makes it better

Do you even hear yourself?

the movie releasing is a good thing. i don't care if it makes a lot of money or not, corporations shouldn't cancel completed movies to get a tax write off, because if they do eventually they'll cancel the movie (you) were waiting for.
don't suck off corporations because you want to own a few retards online, nobody wins

That didn't help The Day the Earth Blew Up. People forget that not every movie goer follows all the news of a film they might go to see.

I believe Six Flags also has access to HB.

because if they do eventually they'll cancel the movie (you) were waiting for.

I don't watch Hollywood slop so I'm legit not affected.

that makes sense, I saw it on a weeknight, like Tuesday at 7pm, and my theater had like 8 people. I wouldn't expect kids to go to the movies on a school night.

Felt embarrassed sitting through those horrendous trailers; I honestly am so removed from the world of kid slop that it came as something a shock how much garbage is coming out.

Didn't Zaslav greenlight a CG Bugs Bunny movie in spite of shitcanning everything else the Looney Tunes were doing before he came in? Because to some degree, this whole thing could just be the "Lion Pride Studio Politics" that killed Netflix's Dark Crystal show cranked up to 11 and whatever Looney stuff gets done at WB in the future is going to be Zaslav approved Illumination-looking crap.

Complete film

2026

Make this make sense.

So he doesn't hate animation after all…he just wants animation to be Minions tier.

because if they do eventually they'll cancel the movie (you) were waiting for.

I don't even care about this part. I just don't want them to get away with being subsidised by the taxpayers money by locking a completed movie away in a vault. It's a completely retarded practice that must not be allowed to take hold.

Marketing and planning a theatrical run takes time.

you mean profitable?

I'm convinced half these posters are WB shills hoping to demoralize people into not seeing it. When it was shelved it was the most unified this board has been in a very long time, threads and threads of people being furious. Reminder to not let them make you think this is a culture war, my team vs your team shit.

no it doesn't

boy it sure is easy to pretend to be retarded in CvA threads.

anyway, I'm not watching this for the sole reason that this isn't the LT I remember liking.

Are you retarded?

This. Anyone speaking out against this movie is just a shill; we need to be unified for once. We will win.

I don't care about retards online and the things I like are in no danger of becoming obsolete like Looney Tunes.

You will not demoralize us. We stand united for this movie.

i will in fact, but people itt act like they are forced at gunpoint to pay for it. if they think it's shit no one forces them to pay for it

talking about hollywood slop is still a form of consumption

the people NOT consooming are the true shills!

I don't think it's culture war shit, I just think people genuinely don't like this premise even if they're okay with releasing this movie. I saw more people unified for TDTEBU if anything.

Stop feeding trolls

Good thing I really don't talk about Hollywood slop either. You're gotchas don't work.

DTEBU has never trended the way CvA trended about 50 times and is making national news right now, it never had any promotion, and still exceeded expectations making a profit off of 8 million box office
Don’t know if it’ll make 50 million but it’ll make far more then DTEBU (and them someone buying streaming rights and blu ray sales will profit the rest)

The Day The Earth Blew Up released and people realized what an actual good Looney Tunes movie should be like.

everyone that says the movie is shit is shills

shitposting on Anon Babble somehow demoralizes people

that's great, you retard. fight those battles, you're never going to win the war but it needs to be fought.

You never fought for shit. This movie will save everything.

Sir, I am an Anarcho-Cannibalist.

Has trending and being on the news ever actually helped ticket sales?

Didn't Zaslav greenlight a CG Bugs Bunny movie in spite of shitcanning everything else the Looney Tunes were doing before he came in

No
It was "in the works", not greenlit. You need a director before you greenlight something.

Yeah dude it's called Word of Mouth

Even though I still think David Zaslav is a complete piece of shit who will perform revisionism against corporate history and not taking the Looney Tunes name seriously, this is still true. I only watch things that I'm interested in, so if something doesn't look interesting to me, and I honestly don't care if something gets cancelled. Any and all social media fags will never understand that most of media are complete slop, yet here they are enjoying said slop. Remember, they'll keep defending a flavor-of-the-week slop that's out for a week or two before they forget about it as if they have amnesia and move on to something else

it translates to awareness. I don't give a damn about TADC and have never watched an episode, but I know it exists.

look at this chad, he's wearing a pomni hat. who's pomni? I don't fucking know.

I'm pretty sure that's just a jester hat, not a TADC reference dude. Pomni's hate looks different.

so you don't consider CvA hollywood slop, given you are discussing it in a CvA thread

What's the word of mouth and awareness outside of Twitter? As stuff like Yellowstone showed, normies and Twitter users are in disconnect with each other and not always aware of what the other watches.

NTA but people are already saying it's not Hollywood slop just because it was shelved.

my point exactly. I wouldn't know if it's a pomni reference. I just know they/them wear a red, blue and yellow hat.
I know about TADC and at the same time I don't.

TADC invented red, blue, and yellow hats

Anon Babble is so dumb.

look at this chad

All I see is a zesty looking nigga

the thing is that the movie itself is irrelevant, corporations should not shelve complete movies for tax write off. it's retarded and benefits no one but the shekelbergs
the only people who would be against the movie releasing are either corpo shills or retarded online warriors that don't care about anything but "winning"

People are just calling the movie shit dude. You can hate corpos and shitty movies and not contradict yourself.

Chads used to be Caucasian Aryans

the thing is that the movie itself is irrelevant

That kind of sums up the problem with discussing this. People are trying to turn a movie into a movement.

no gay man makes women salivate like this.

now we've on to blacked posting

There is nothing wrong with miscegenation

polcel schizo ramblings like clockwork

I love how I can predict reality. Stupid people will always exist and I'll be here to laugh and mock them. Anon Babble IS GREAT!!

You're right but this is Netflix so unrealistic shit happens.

It's obviously going to be shit. Everything is shit. It's all shit.

I'm against the movie because it sucks and it looks like it sucks. from a biznis perspective this looks like a flop and nobody wants to release a flop..

I’d let Wile black me

Foodfight literally was lost media and held back from release

Wile E is white coded.

we did it reddit

People will 100% see this in theaters as a middle finger to WB.

They won't. You live in your little Anon Babble bubble so you think everyone else is aware of the controversy surrounding Coyote vs ACME. They don't. Almost nobody right now even knows this movie exists. You try talking to a normal person about "Coyote vs ACME" or about "Zaslav" and they won't have a single idea what in the FUCK you're talking about.

Best case scenario is some bored parents see a Looney Tunes movie and put it on for their kids. They don't think it's some revolutionary act rebelling against Warner Brothers they're just putting something on they recognize to placate their children.

file.png - 240x228, 74.23K

The best option for CvA would have been to leak it to the public. If it was bad, we could have enjoyed laughing at it together like with Foodfight and the PPG trailer.

boomer watch jellystone and don't use twitter, simple as.

I fucking wish TDTEBU caught on with normies

this is a kids show?

Jellystone isn't watched by boomers

Lola is given a scene like pic related

you saying the movie is shit is a different thing from saying warner bros should be getting away with turning it into a tax writeoff

does releasing it cost anything to you?
it costs zero for me to not watch it. actually, it costs me not releasing it since it would be a tax writeoff otherwise

This

Boomers manage to fund entire shows for Taylor Sheridan

Zoomers can't do that for most of what they like

Grim.

You don't pay taxes. No one here pays taxes.

it sucks and it looks like like it sucks because DADDY Zaslav says so

He will never long for you as you long for his boot

Even outside the shelving drama giving it a forbidden fruit quality, the movie's premise has existed for decades and been enough of an animation fan in-joke to give it the feeling of being something made by Looney Tunes fans versus "Executives told us we need to make Daffy rap now", even if the actual final product ends up being meh.

We need to support this film to save consumerism.

Not really, looney tunes is inspired by silly symphonies, cartoons that used music that moved in tandem with the animation. So spelling it "looney toons" is silly because looney already implies a crazy/funny cartoon. I don't think anyone referred to cartoons as "toons" until the 80s when Roger Rabbit released.

This. It's a film for animation fans and a love letter to the franchise.

At this point I would prefer it if this thread was just BMAF/BMWF posting

Anon Babble likes dat bibisi

Sorry, Bugs and Lola made for white human men

anon this premise has been done before.

As always

804 - BasedBooru.png

YOU go back.

I'm dying laughing that company is going to fucking go out of business, NOBODY is going to see that

When it was shelved it was the most unified this board has been in a very long time, threads and threads of people being furious.

Most were, some weren't. Think there's a lot less support for it on here because 1, Anon Babble fucking HATES the mainstream animation community, and 2, everything about this movie that's leaked since then (especially that plot synopsis) makes it seem like it'll end up mediocre.

The animation community will support it

Is that...a retard expressing his opinion? WOOOO HOLD MY INTERNET CONNECTION MR BEAST, A NEW DIAPER IS ON THE SHELF

How rare, how funny. A Whiner is you.

This was all planned by Zaslav

I actually really liked this, pretty sure the main reason people here hate it is Gadget getting blacked (see )

taking a lesser deal than the total refund you apparently wanted, two years onwards, was all according to keikau

Here's your sign

nta but movie =/= individual work. Even if the movie sucks it's nice to have proof of something you worked on X amount of time. Recruiters dont really care if the movie itself sucks or not.

fuck off tranny

I just hate it because it wasn't good, or funny. It felt like a cartoon version of The Happytime Murders, it was that miserable. The potshot at the Sonic movie got a chuckle though

Your dialectics won't work on us, kike. Even hillbillies are aware of your retardation. Might I suggest disemboweling yourself with a butter knife?

Yes, it was a New Yorker article from 1990 that started the meme. Family Guy just took the old joke and made zoomers think they invented it like Peanut Butter Jelly Time, the Ding Fries are Done song, or Walt Disney hating the Jews.

They won't. Most people don't care about this sort of shit

Then I'm a culture warrior. What now, boot licker?

Christ, women's media is garbage.

American Dad is unironically better
There will never be another 2000s ever

looney tunes isn't a dead IP, you're just a bootlicker!

Every time I go into a thread anymore on this damn board there's some weird unrelated bullshit spammer doing shit like this. It's like there's only 10 people left on this board and with the actual certified bot threads now I'd believe it.

Marketing a film takes several months on average. It doesn't matter if it's done already. There's also find a good release window since Ketchup doesn't want to just dump the movie at any time.
