If you get everything you want the minute you want it, then what's the point of living?

to enjoy those things you wanted you bitch what did you even want them for then

The point of living is infinite pleasure instantaneously for all of time

t. hedonism

if i had natural talent for art id be happier

getting what i want. every minute.

But it's also a learned skill. You gotta work at it.

'muhh I dont have natural talent' is defeatist bullshit.
Do you know why i'm pretty good at drawing, anon?
because I've been doing it since I was three.

What people think is 'talent' is usually just a head start.
Now pick up a fucking crayon and start scribbling. That's where I started.

But it's also a learned skill.

you can learn the technical skills but you can't learn aesthetic sense and creativity. Also some people just pick up the technical skills way easier than everyone else.

Nobody has natural that is that good.
The artistic savant is the exception, not the rule.
All of it is effort.

But yeah I feel you, seems like getting good at art is gonna to be harder and harder with each years off of my life.

But whatever, I don't have anything else going for me, might as well draw as much as I can when I'm able to.

you can't learn aesthetic sense and creativity

Yes you can.
now are you gonna try, or cry?

haha dude just draw talent isn't real everyone is equal

i hate you retards.

you had a brain that rewarded you with happy juice early on when practicing drawing. just like how great musicians have the same thing young with instruments, or singing, or dancing, or sports, or any skill. if your brain doesn't give you positive feedback while practicing a skill you will never become great at said skill. it will always be a chore for some if you are not passionate about it. some people don't find their passion or their brain is broken.

You should have started early by copying from comics and video game magazines, it's what I did.

you will never be happy and it's entirely caused by your outlook

The whole "struggling builds character" thing is just a good argument against building character.

I always disliked how everyone thinks Jake is this wise old man figure that knows everything because he words himself in a mildly "wise" way even tho he is a literal childish lazy bum and terribly incompetent.

Some people have a nasty habit of assuming Pen Ward just "lucked out" with Adventure Time, but it took hard work and good showmanship skills to make the darn thing happen. Put some respect on his name.

you're aggressively misunderstanding jake, anon.
Jake knows how to be happy. Something thats rapidly becoming a lost art.

cuteness

, but it took hard work and good showmanship skills to make the darn thing happen.

yeah but adventure time is shit, so not a good argument

Want MORE. And then ration your dopamine so you don't end up chasing dragons.

I can't argue with that.
Jake is by far the most happy out of the cast but that is because he is also the most ignorant one.
Avoidant and (self-)repressing...
He was quick to let slime princess absorb him, was persistent on trying to make finn just accept candy Ooo, would have let Finn die building his tower if it wasnt for PBstepping in and also just being a ddeadbeat dad to his pups(except his favourite one of which he named after himself.)

I HATE Tiny-nose Jake

Jake is the worst person to come to for advice.

Shut up faggot

Nah

There was a point where I was constantly seeing the "I love this mug, now it's gone" bit shared as actual philosophical advice without the context that he totally goes out into the yard and gets the mug back at the end.

I have literally never seen the opinion that Pen just got lucky with AT. The dude's a fucking visionary. He had a lot of help, obviously, but you never do it alone.

Everything you want includes things you don't know you want, your 'wants' wouldn't become unattainable, they'd just change over time, so if you got everything you wanted your 'needs' and 'wants' would be met and fulfilled entirely.
Being upset if this were to stop being the case isn't being entitled at all, it's being reasonable, if you're not getting what you want, then you've got a problem and it needs to be solved, pronto.

Nta, but talent is 100% a real factor to art, some people just "get it" more than other. I might spend months, years even, to catch up to someone who only took weeks. Of course, that's not an excuse that you shouldn't try at all, but pretending it doesn't exist is just dumb.

There are things that i would never get and they cause me pain every living day, every waking hour. If i could jump universes i probably would.

I wish I could be good at something but I'm completely incompetent at everything, including getting better at things. So I've accepted that I'm a useless drain on resources and that's all I'll ever be, and I'm just lucky enough to not live in a time and place where "people" like me aren't left to starve in the gutter.

*I'm just lucky enough to not live in a time and place where "people" like me are left to starve in the gutter.

See? I'm even incompetent at that.

dumb dog

He’s right

Indulging

Hedonism is cool until you get eventually bored

NEET for 12 years straight and still not bored.

you know, your brain is a powerful but docile thing, so if you tell it "uhm, actually, I suck at everything" then it'll happily obey
this is a vicious cycle, maybe try to not have such negative thoughts about yourself and life

le thoughts influence le self

woman brained. some people are just born losers/fuckups. can't all be winners or happy.

just because you put "le" in front of words doesn't make them less valid anon
you never met self depreciating retards that are always whining about how they suck at everything when you KNOW they don't because you've seen them do great things, they just sperg out in front of other people or seem to just fail on purpose spectacularly?
it's just sad

you never met self depreciating retards that are always whining about how they suck at everything when you KNOW they don't because you've seen them do great things

no. generally actually talented and intelligent people go on to do shit with their lives. everyone else just copes.

Na it's a waste of time truly unless you're Jewish/plugged into a community via friends/associates in which case you are fine being awful just ask your uncle or cousin for some work.

this is childish binary thinking
